Until scrutes is back that is probably our best team, when ainscough is back i would put him in for raynor and walker on bench for addy when he back to cover backs and forwards.

| Agree on Ainscough, but if Addy can run in to a bit of form I suspect he could offer the same cover but more flair than Walker.

| Kearney and Raynor in is a great positive. Sibbit in for addy i dont agree with at all. Sibbit = penalty machine. Yet again herbert ahead of briggs yet herbert has shown nothing to keep young briggs out. Confused.

| one thing in herberts favour is he does a lot in defense which is briggs' weakness. given addys exclusion wonder if were going to see herbert tried at loose?.

I wouldnt be saying Sibbit no thank - before getting injured, he happened to be (although it pains me to say it) one of our best players.
And with regards to herbert, still up near the top of the list for try assists although being injured for a while and statistically still our best Half !!!
Crookes & Donno to miss out IMO

I agree about Kearney and Raynor coming in. Personally I would have gone for Addy over Sibbit, though I think the 'penalty machine' comment is a bit out of date as he's improved that considerably since early in the season. I'd put the decision down to squad rotation, and maybe a touch of not wanting to overplay the younger lads, rather than Potter particularly thinking that Sibbit brings more to the table.

| if we've only 3 props the workload still has to be done, and Sibbits tackle rate is higher than Addys as is his missed tackle %, carries/game and metres/carry very similar, so opting for defence over ball skills. Crookes and Donaldson look likely to be dropped

| I hope Herbert isn't in the halves. We just seem a lot less creative when he plays and his stats may be better but I think stats only ever tell half a tale. He throws passes that just aren't on and when he plays we seem to make hard work of converting when close to the opposition's try line. Hope Royston stays at FB too because for how he's been playing he shouldn't have to accommodate IMO. If we are wanting to play Herbert in a creative loose role 'Sinfield-esq' I would prefer to try Briggs who has a far better kicking game and seems more vocal than Herbert to me
