To be fair, many of our fans did. It was a double header and we (Widnes and Fax) were playing amateur teams - many Fax fans saying what a shame that these clubs would lose out in the same scenario. That said, i guess if we felt that strongly we could have forgone the offer and paid in.

As it happens, yes, I did. I have thought it a stupid idea from it's inception.

As regards the previous round, Lock Lane would have brought very few supporters with them, the gate was less than a thousand anyway and the ratio of ST holders to pay-on-the-gate Fax fans would be less than 50%. So, all in all it would have made very little difference to Lock Lane's payday.

TBH if halifax don't get any money from bar / food then if I was them I would be tempted to switch if bulls offered a 50/50 on profit in ground and 100% on ticket sales (i know it won't happen) as whilst food money goes to the vendors, the beer must definately go to bulls!

Also some people are forgetting we have 11,000 adult season ticket holders, another 2 - 3,000 surely oap, student and kids that will qualify? I can't wait for this match, I have missed it so much! My dad and grandad are on standby for when tickets go on sale as I work in Sheffield / Derby!

Probably, but that game wasn't sold out, IIRC. We have more ticket holders this time but it's on telly which does counteract that a bit.

The trouble is, my little town small minded friend who doesn't know how to turn off his caps lock and has turned this into his only personality trait, is that Fax is no longer considered a derby by Bradford fans. Yes, there's the historical rivalry, but you've not been a credible challenge to Bradford for the best part of 20 years. You're a small team from a small town. And that's all you'll ever be now.
