| The statement where it says he will face competition from Luke Lewis and Trent Waterhouse seems like some sort of bizarre parallel universe to me. I honestly never thought I'd see words like that in relation to Worrincy.
Is there any chance Martin Offiah is available to find me a new job? Maybe as I.T. Director at Microsoft or something?

I fancy running Tesco.
I'll give him a bell, after all, didn't he once get Michael Worrincy an NRL contract?

| Bollox to running it - I fancy OWNING it!
Failing that, I'm sure they need a new FD. Its a bit wet and cool in Seattle, after all, too much like here...
I'm sure Chariots'll fix it for me - since he seems to be able to work miracles elsewhere.

ONE of his nicknames might be the "Black Pearl" but whatever you do don't tell Penrith's new recruit Michael Worrincy he has to develop into the new Ellery Hanley.
"Yeah, that's right, I've got a few nicknames," Worrincy said.
"One of them is the Black Pearl but for me right now I'm just focused on trying to break into the NRL and be consistent."
Speaking with a thick London accent, Worrincy has arrived at Penrith via Bradford in the English Super League.
The latest English import is hoping to carve out a niche for himself in the Panthers back-row but will face some tough opposition in Trent Waterhouse and Luke Lewis.

You'd only be disappointed. Offiah didn't find Worrincy his NRL deal, the pair parted ways a couple of months back as far as I know.

Any idea who his agent is now then? Because I would REALLY like to get in touch with him and have him representing me.

A thick London accent? I know he played for the Broncos for a couple of years but he's no Londoner, I thought his birthplace was given as Leeds?

Why is there a part of me hoping it's George Mimmis (sp)?

| Fook me, 6 pages of people dragging out an extended "joke" at Worrincy's expense. OK, OK, we get it, you think he's not very good and will never hack it in Aus, right, message received and understood. Enough already. He may not have impressed many with his rugby skills at Odsal, but as far as I am concerned he tried hard for us - however crap you think he was or is - and as such he doesn't deserve such a processional and merciless bagging. It's not as if he was short of it whilst playing, is it? He's gone now, and I'd have thought he was entitled to our best wishes. He's certainly got mine.

It's a bit of fun. That's all. Nobody is saying they don't wish him well.
Calm yourself and lighten up.

Absolutely correct. I hope he tears them up down there. Who is to say he won't?

I am prepared to say he wont. Doesn't stop me being completely envious.
