| Quote: eddievan "Im sure that will help keep the club afloat and also improve things both on and off the pitch.'"
No, but it will help his chosen charity. As far as I'm aware, the Bulls is not a charity. At some point I think everyone is justified in saying enough is enough and giving their money to a more worthwhile cause.
The onus seems to be on the fans to turn up in more numbers to help this club, well sorry, the club needs to start helping itself, and the first way would be to stop dishing up that "entertainment" week in, week out.
They want fans to come, then sort out what exactly is happening. Or at least start being bloody honest to the hard-working people who pay their money to get ripped off every week.

| Well they don't become so unprofessional overnight do they? These are basic errors and consistantly cost us dearly..Maybe there is something within the Club that is impacting on their desire to get 'down to it',then.

| There has to be turmoil within the Club, the Board must be feeling pretty ropey as well, not to mention the shareholders.Agreed there is a distinct need for explainations and apologies.

If Steve McNamara is to be backed by the board then why, and can they justify this by providing evidence of progress under him?
Does he himself feel that he is capable of turning this around?
What is being done to arrest this slump and what plans are there to start winning fans back?
Bugger this "Building for the Future" crap that they peddle out to deflect the blow. We need answers now.'"
you lot want to start voting with your feet and no matter hard it may seem just dont go and pay your good money..surley that stupid board of yours will take note of that when the takings start dropping..and then get rid of mac.

| Quote: Bully_Boxer "Yup. I wouldn't be too sad if the season ended tomorrow to be honest. I've just about had enough of this years rubbish. I've got my season ticket so I'll see the remaining games, doubt many others will pay on the gate to watch our current team.'"
Yeah totally fair comment. I feel exactly that way.
Yet again, the dwindling band who still come to watch got badly let down by the team. And it's not much use pointing out that some tried hard, and some did OK, as it makes no odds.
Yet again, we oh-so-predictably make a catalogue of schoolboy errors, and still work our way into what should be a winning position.
Yet again, at times our defence looks like a potato sack parade.
Then yet again our kami kaze masochistic streak emerges and we contrive new ways to blow games.
Yet again, the faithful trudge off depressed, disconsolate and demoralised. Even more so today sine that was the "must win" game to have any chance of the playoffs, and some had hoped against hope that the team would play like it.
Someone commented that some of these players don't seem to want to play for the club, and this is an easy conclusion to reach. But whatever it is they want to do, how can we yet again self-destruct? Which sumb bit could you make up? Tadulala letting a ball bounce a metre infield "thinking" (and I use the term loosely) that it would go out?
Deacon choosing THEN to throw an oh-so-bleeedin-obvious interception, then compound it with a major brainfart holding down (shaking down?) penalty? So many fsck ups, so little space.
A truly abject effort from the majority of the team. Even Menzies, apart from a couple of short weaving runs, looked uninvolved.
There is something badly, very badly, wrong. Some malaise is infecting our club and we are in a tail spin that is going to be difficult to get out of. And we will lose so much money this year that god knows what we'll be able to do for players and wages next season. Burgess off to Aus? Who the fsck would buy him if he plods around like that? Might as well draw his cash for nothing like the rest of the miserable, lazy shower.
I'm sorry for being doom and gloom. It's all I can see right now though, since if the players can't do more than that in a genuine life-or-death home game against opposition that ha slost six on the spin and is weakened, then they must have no desire, and no self-respect.

Crowds down to below 8000, I think it is safe to say that people are already doing this.

You would say that though, wouldn't you?
And anyway, you are preaching to the choir, cos most of the non-season ticket holders appear to have done just that already.

So you're saying if only McNamara had not been the coach today, we'd have blown Quins away in a festival of irresistible attacking rugby and steely defence? I wish I lived on your planet.

No entirely sure he was saying that at all. In fact, he did not whatsoever.
As for living on his planet? A good point. After all, you famously once said that you expect McNamara to go on to achieve great things as a coach. Clearly it is [iyou[/i who is on another planet.

Ah, so he was saying if we got rid of Mac, nothing would change, we'd play just the same. That's that sorted, then. Very good.

As the future hasn't happened yet, you're talking bollox. So no change there, then.

Quite an ironic statement from one of the most upfront Macca Backers out there.

what are you blabbing on about?..it seems the majority of you want to get rid of mac ..(apart from you, as you must think he's doing a great job)..a once great club going in a downward direction if he cant motivate the team pal i think its time they got someone who can.

I'm not sure why you bother bandying words with someone who spends far far more time on here when we lose than he ever does when we win?

Not specifically true. It is just that we lose much more than we win and it just seems that way.
Especially if you just see what you want to see of course.

I understand exactly what you are saying but sad as it may make me sound I support the club as though it is a kind of extended family and the only time I would stop going is if I didn't have the money to go. If I were to stop attending at the moment it would feel akin to letting a friend down when they needed you most. I know this is very sad but is the basis on which I support the team.
