Even if I agreed with that statement, everything else Nirvana did was generally utter crap. Wipeout was unlistenable, Bleach had one good tune (About a Girl), Incesticide was just an out-takes album and In Utero was just a pile of noise with the exception of Heart Shaped Box.
Nevermind was adecent album but is right up there with Sgt Pepper, Pet Sounds and Whats the Story (Morning Glory) as hugely over-rated albums.

I would have to agree with that one. Most over-rated album by the most over-rated band of all time.

Sgt Pepper is a good album but I reckon the Beatles did plenty better. I always find it is voted for what it stood for rather than the music on it.
