Nobody would be so daft as to suggest that. Especially not anyone in a prominent position at an actual club!

| You could paint the message on every front door in Bradford and some people 'won't have heard anything about it'. Obviously there is always more than can be done, but with a limited budget I think the club has spread the net fairly wide. Stuff in the t&a, on the radio, leaflets through doors, on the Bulls website, in RL press and buses driving around Bradford. I can believe some non RL fans might have missed the coverage but every RL fan I have spoken to from other clubs has heard of the scheme.

| In Australia NRL clubs advertise far outside of their local areas, why would it be a problem for Bradford? (other than money). In Port MacQuarie (NSW) a few months back they had adverts on TV for the Gold Coast Titans... (miles away). What about a spot on the local BBC news or Calendar with someone like Hood being interviewed and saying they are offering fantastic deals (don't have to give details to get round BBC not doing advertising etc)?
Not everyone reads the T&A, and internet and Odsal coverage is likely to only appeal to existing fans. Is the aim to bring back all the Bullmania era support, or attract new fans? If the latter I doubt the current advertising regime is going to bring many in. FWIW I think that all SL clubs do a poor job in selling the game to new fans, relying far too much on existing fans to spread the word.

| Just to reassure everyone that the message IS getting out. Last Saturday the manager of a well known tile outlet in Morecambe asked me about it as I was wearing a Bulls hoody - he isn't even a RL fan!
[size=50(He is the best mate of Ricky Sheriffe's Brother-in-law though, so that might explain it!)[/size

Now you're being disengenuous. Oz has a population less than that of Greater London. So Clubs are going to advertise way out of their cachement area. If you were in Port you will know that the nearest NRL Club is Newcastle a 4 hour drive down or if you fancy Brisbane 5+ hours drive up. Most NRL fans travel only to their home games or if in the Sydney area will travel to the away games!

to be honest bbc arent that stupid and would see right through us doing a piece like that. It would be advertising pure and simple as cheap season tickets is hardly news to the general public. For the extra exposure TV advertising would cost commercially it simply wouldnt bring in enough extra pledges to cover the cost of the advertisement.

That's about right. They'd just got over 20m when I went in 2003

| Quote Exeter Rhino="Exeter Rhino"Whatever the Bulls are doing to promote this pledge idea isn't enough - I asked my parents (who live in Bfd) if they considered 'pledging', and neither of them had heard of the scheme! Especially as both are RL fans and my Dad has even been known to attend post-match functions at Odsal in recent years. Has there been any television exposure? I suspect they are not the only ones who do not know about it.'"
It's been on the radio non stop.
The Pulse are giving away Bradford Bulls 2011 family season passes every hour during the drive time show.

Just for the record I wasn't taking this thread off-topic.
I was stating a well known fact that while Bradford City struggle in the bottom four of League Two, there is scope that some of the disillusioned supporters will see our £60 offer as good value and take it up, if only to take away some of the pain from watching City.
A number of Bradford City supporters have already done this.
