Well, with an 1895 cup final at Wembley and a million pound game with Batley in the last few years he's definitely worth a look.

Would definitely prefer Lingard to Henderson

Lingard would be a slightly better appointment over Henderson. Overachieved with Batley during his tenure but didn't rip up any trees at Castleford. Still not sure he would be the right fit. Also, not a chance he'd survive the Odsal mud track in flip flops/barefoot.

Not keen on recruitment being made by anyone other than the coach hope this won't put candidates off taking the job.powell had a slightly easier task at wakey so it's hard to evaluate his coaching skills from that.

Lingard definately worth a punt..definately an upgrade on EOC imo , be interesting if EOC turns up at the Tigers... which is what I heard earlier today.
