It was Adam Henry, if you're thinking of the run he went on in the first half after picking up the ball near his ankles.

| I thought we did well to grind out the win. Some solid defence and a refusal to panic when we didn't score

| Really good performance from the Bulls.
When Fax and Bulls ran on, it looked like all the players were about 50% bigger than the London-Sheffield lot. Optical illusion? Certainly no doubt about the difference in class, Sheffield were never in their game, London looked up for it and most of the stuff they tried came off. They will be no pushover form now on, but I think we have the size and power advantage over them.
The most improves aspect of our game was the defence, but as Jimmy says, his style is the offload and the risky pass, and it was our willingness to chance our arm that found the holes when we scored. Our defence was good but so was Fax, and it took some getting through. Both teams also denied by some goal line heroics.
The atmosphere created by the Bulls fans was great though. I was worried that the BFC stewards were going to get silly at first, but eventually worked out that there was no reason to get involved so mostly just observed with amusement. Must be in the Guinness for the longest song, what was that at the end, at least 20 minutes? And the two-tone trumpet as the two coppers walked along the front had me nearly wetting myself.
Decent weather, free Cornettos, very good hotel, excellent Blackpool fish n chips, beer tokens for Wetherspoons, what more could you want?

Yes I stand corrected. I wonder if some players and the coach are holding some back for the 8s ?
Roofaldo2 ... "Some solid defence and a refusal to panic when we didn't score" Yes again that's seems about right, the Bulls looked a lot more comfortable in their defence and trusting each other.

| A solid performance led the way by commited defence. Still not in top gear going forward but hopefully we can use this game as something to really build on now.
Really impressed by the pack yesterday. Steve Crossley must have doubled in size since he last played with us and looked a real handful at times and showed some neat offloads.
Purcell as commited as ever and nice to see him get over for a brace.
I haven't been that impressed with Adam Henry showed some really good skill yesterday, and if Purtell and Henry carry on then Medieka is going to have to really impress to gain a regular spot in the centres.
Really need a scrum half don't we? Awry is ok his running is wasted there. I liked the loom of that tong lad Craven from Fax.
Credit to Halifax, they played really well too.

I mean I know Blackpool is closer for the Noth west clubs like Leigh, Whitehaven, Workington, Halifax and Featherstone.
But given that two thirds to possibly three quarters of the gate will be Bradford fans as we're much bigger than everyone else the RFL could have encouraged a much larger gate at Odsal.
It's Iconic, is less run down than Blackpool, pitch has slightly better drainage and it's closer.
Loads of room for the fan zone. Makes total sense.'"
You're joking right? Odsal is a dump, as is Bradford. Bloomfield Road is a much better stadium. Surely the whole idea of summer bash is a neutral venue that can attract a large number of fans from all clubs. Where do you get less run down from? Bloomfield Road is a re-built stadium, all seater, all under cover with better facilities. e.g. toilets, bars and food outlets. I know this because I actually went yesterday. It was a great day out, sun shining, lots of beer etc. I'd like to add, a great afternoon in Blackpool Walkabout with the Bulls fans and the drummer. good deals on booze for Bulls fans aswell.

| Great all round effort but b4c is right. We're desperate for a scrum half and/or hooker off the bench. It's pretty predictable at present. I also thought Clough and Sidlow didn't make a great impact whereas Crossley looked good and Lauaki looked much better.
The singing/dancing plague which gripped the Bradford end was brilliant fun. Met some kids on the prom who were heading for a 17 hour hard house 'bounce til I die' Wigan Pier madness. Wonder how they're feeling now. A great weekend.

Didn't you hear? They're all dead. That's what happens when you go to a "Bounce til I die" where the roof in a room that's only 6ft high

| Terrific game and a credit to both clubs, imo.
The defence was superb from both sides the quality of the tries that were scored is testament to that. I have to say that some of our 'off the cuff stuff', particularly the interplay leading up to both of Purt's tries, was just sensational. From our pov it was just the sort of high intensity game we need and if I were a Fax fan I'd be thinking that if we played like that every week [iwe'd[/i be nearer the top two as well.

we have played like that most weeks but unfortunately haven't had that extra bit to get over the line in each game

| I agree that Halifax deserve plenty of credit for the way they've played against us on both occasions this season
Genuine question for Fax fans: How close are you to being able to go full-time? I could see Halifax becoming a genuine contender with full-time training and a few key additions to their squad. But how realistic is that?

| Good question is that.
Their coach says, in one breath, their defeat wasn't due to us being full time, but then goes on to say the Bulls extra skills are due to being able to practice for more time. If being full time isn't an issue, then I'm not sure what he means by that, to be honest.

Genuine question for Fax fans
at a fans forum earlier in the year, we were told the aim is to go full time for the 2017 season onwards

| According to our Chairman at a recent fans forum, all being well the plan is to get a second team going next season and go full-time the season after. The key to this is to steadily increase attendances and that requires a consistently winning team. I believe under Richard Marshall we are heading in the right direction but it will take time. He has had to run with the team built by Karl Harrison and the signings he had already made for 2015. Next year he should have his own team in place. We'll go full-time when we can afford to and not before. We've had too many "boom and bust" near misses to have not learnt some hard lessons!
