I asked him on twitter today and he was pretty honest, just said he had not yet received an offer from the bulls, and he's not accepted an offer from elsewhere yet. He's one of the players i would definitely like to keep - try scoring machine!

Given that Khan and Sutcliffe only got the word we were in SL on Friday, I wouldn't think ANY of the OOC players would have received an offer yet.
I'd expect many of them, including Ainscough, to be getting offers next week. We obviously need to sign more players up ASAP, so I expect some announcements pretty soon

I was quite surprised that he/other players have not already committed themselves to other teams, they must have been nervous about what they would do next year.
I thought we would be in a position where all the OOC players were already signed up elsewhere. Maybe we can keep the team pretty similar next year.

| I'd sign all of them (Nas/Sammut to be sorted, of course) as they are a decent set of players who have shown commitment last season and I doubt we'll get better players from elsewhere. Not that I glean all the papers to see who is and isn't available, but Id guess any 'bargains' or top quality guys ooc at other clubs would probably be sorted by now.
I did think there were stories about Pryce having signed elsewhere for next year, was it not true then?

| Mr Khan is very aware that he needs to show that he means buisness as an owner and if the rumours are to be belived they may even make one transfer where a fee is paid.

| Something keeps nagging at me that Wigan might look at Lulia. They need to replace Carmont, Super Keith has had a great year and the Pies aren't afraid to put their hand in their pocket if need be.

Scrutes hasn't played much this season. He had a bad illness which laid him low for months, and to be honest, he hasn't been the same player since he returned. Don't think he was off contract anyway, but I could be wrong on that.

He's not off contract, but I wouldn't be bothered if another club took him off our hands
That said, it would then make three props we'd need to replace

| I'd be surprised if we were letting another Prop leave, but imagine he is on a decent wedge given his form when his current contract was agreed. Possibly a cost cutting measure and one that I think most fans would be happy to accept if true.

Suspect it may have been a deal agreed in event we werent in SL which will now not happen. Cant see Scruton taking a pay cut. Think most of contracted players will have had deals lined up in case we were demoted. That said Scruton struggled to break back into team once he did get fit so could be someone club are looking to offload.

| Scruton is a tricky one
If - and I emphasise if - he can have a good off season with a bespoke fitness program, and then have a great pre-season, he could actually turn out to be someone well worth keeping. Even if he can get back to something close to his form when he agreed his current contract, then he'd be a solid performer at the very least. And, maybe, he could get back to that level, which would be like having a quality new signing.
Lots of 'ifs' and 'buts' of course....

| Well I can't understand if Widnes are signing him for 2 yrs reading this forum.Got enough injury prone players with Briscoe,Cross,O Caroll, and had Kite that was a waste of space.Think we would have learnt by now,but if does aswell as Ah Van I be a happy man.Need a better season next year at Widnes.

Agreed mate. Scrutes has never reached the levels of his Leeds career but he's been solid in spells and at his best he's a decent, if not outstanding, prop. If he's still contracted then let's hope he's fully recovered from all the illness/injury worries of the last couple of years.
