| Quote Silver Bullitt="Silver Bullitt"That looks a good summary for those of us who struggle to keep up with it all. Thank you.
I think Moss is still with us, but he is recovering from an injury picked up in pre season. Souter got ten minutes last night, so that may be a problem, especially as he’s just returned from suspension.
There doesn’t seem to be a huge amount of faith in the younger/reserve players. Apart from those you’ve mentioned, Jaden Barraclough looks to be knocking on the door, and as a left field call, there’s a lad in the Reserves called Waldimar Matahwa who looks very promising.'"
Yeah I forgot about Jaden Barraclough, he's been named in a few squads. I spoke to Dan Moss dad, Steve last night and apparently Dan has now been given the all clear to start full training again. He's a talented lad would just need a run of games, will definitely bring something different to Lilley and Gaskell. So if he's offered a contract Moss could be the cover, he's a natural Halfback so can utilise Jowitt elsewhere as well.

| Quote BullRaider="BullRaider"Really tough start to the season with injuries and Suspensions. Not sure if there where any incidents during the game last night were players could be up for any disciplinaries to further add to the list.
Backs-
Holmes- (wishing him all the best, only named him as he's a player who we thought would start the season until the devastating news)
Blackmore - Knee?
Taufua- Hia/Concussion
Gaskell - Hamstring
That you would say would be your Starting FB, Wingers and Halfback.
Forwards-.
Scurr- Knee?
Baldwinson- had long term injury
Doro- Ankle Ligaments
Okoro- Broken Jaw
Peposhi- Sternum
Arundel - ?
Davies- (I think the Wigan Reserves game will count as his 2nd game so will be back fot Fax)
Safely say at least 6 of those are in the 17 and starting.
To come in-
Corey Johnson (picked up hia playing reserves for Leeds)
Fulton
Ott
Have we got any Reserves or Academy players who could step up?
Dom Waites? Centre/SR
Will Oakes- Winger (not been given many opportunities)
Mackenzie Scurr? Outside back
Jamie Gill? Prop
Sam Akroyd? Half Back
Jaden Barraclough
There all blows, but Gaskell will be a blow as without him our attack looks clunky, to predictable and slow. Need some quality cover in the halves, and some speed and energy within the whole squad.'"
EOC and the board are getting a lot of flack online and on the terraqce on Friday which I feel is very harsh given the current predicament. The post above shows exactly how difficult it is at the moment with the players missing and whilst its easy to say "just sign some props", if there isn't any in our budget willing to come and sign, what exactly is the club supposed to do?
Out of the players missing, I reckon a dozen of them would be a shoo-ins to be in the regular starting 17 so we really are patched up at the moment.
Holmes
Blackmore
Taufua
Gaskell
Baldwinson
Fulton
Davies
Scurr
Doro
Okoro
Johnson
Ott
Arundel
Going forward, I expect we will also pick up some players who will either add quality to the starting line up or squad depth, especially after Easter which is when most of the SL clubs start re-evaluating their own positions.

| Did the “just sign some props” brigade not see the 2 young loanees from Wigan & Wire? They did well for us, but I’m certain that once our own props come back we’ll send them back to their parent clubs with thanks

| So many simpletons on the Facebook groups so I try not to engage with them. I think we've got a really decent squad when we can get most of them out onto the field. In the meantime we just have to suck it up and make the best of it. We would've got a lot closer to Wakefield had we not suffered further injuries during that game.
Hopefully Ott and Fulton will come into the reckoning for the Fax game but if not we'll have to cope. They've got a bunch of injuries themselves at the moment so it will be two depleted teams.

| It’s probably the same people who complain at admission prices, try to get in with junior tickets for £2, complain we don’t sign anyone and won’t join Squadbooster to help with the signings

| You do understand that "The Bulls" are or is a business?
There for its who ever owns that business to invest in it to make a success of it?.
Nige seems to have spun it so everyone believes it's their responsibility to invest in his business for him.
The letter or statement in the T&A begging the council for stadium money was cringeworthy.
Wakefield are turning a corner as they have a new owner with funds, vision and ambition.
Pretty much like we did in the 90s.
I don't own a professional Rugby League club as I can't afford to,
Seemingly neither can big Nige.
Sell it to someone that can mate.

| NIge's ownership's at 25% and if we had the kind of owner most people think we can pluck out of the air we'd be top end of SL again in the Wembley of the North
The thing that's heartening at the minute is that no one seems to be throwing in the towel. If adversity breeds strength and cohesiveness then with an injury free run I think we're in for some great entertainment this season with this team.
At least we're not in the position of City where everyone seems to have taken their bat and ball home

Why don't you take your pick for a new wealthy owner from the long queue of people all waiting to take over

| Well Featherstone had an owner who invested millions and look how that's going!
I'm no Nigel fan boy, but we've been the most stable we have for a long time. We do have investment, have our elite academy status back and had our highest finish last year. In the sport of RL we could end up being the 12th strongest club just by being stable while others around fall apart (and there's a few walking the tightrope at the moment)
Yes I would like a new stadium but no new owner is going to have a spare £30milliom to suddenly build one for us!
I'd understand if Jim Radcliffe said he wanted to buy us and Wood refused to sell! But your axe to grind is just becoming tedious now.

They did get a cheap loan from the council to buy the ground and got a share of the £6million the council gifted to the 3 clubs in their area though.
The new owner bought the club that owned the ground with low repayments to the council on it, development on the ground and pitch underway, an elite academy, no debt and pretty much a guarantee they’ll be promoted at the end of the season. It’s easier to put money in when you’ve got that as part of the de.
