| Nice, but Premises Licence condition requires that tap water be freely available. Same goes for any bar or pub.

| Given the big empty unused space behind what should be the away end, why not get down to Aldi when they've got a special on a buy a load of cheap garden furniture and turn that area into a beer garden? If you want people to come into the ground early instead of sitting outside The Top House or Cue Gardens, you need to give them somewhere to be rather than just sat on the floor.
Also, why not split the bar staff into cash takers and pint pullers? That way you speed the queue up as the next person can place their order and the pint pullers just keep topping up the already pulled pints which are passed over as needed

| Mick tells me that Bradford Brewery are now on board and there should be ales on in the marquee bar on the 24th as well as Origin 2 and the Ingurland world cup match. They're opening from 11am.
Sounds good.

| Surprised they haven't setup some kind of 'big screen' at Odsal for the soccer matches, since it's, apparently, not going to happen in town.
Not that I particularly put any blame on the council as loads of drunks running round shouting, "Ingerlund, Ingerlund", whilst simultaneously falling into the mirror pool might have its comic element, it might also cause a fair bit of disruption and might not be fair on the majority of people in the town centre who, to be honest, probably aren't that bothered about soccer matches.

Problem with doing stuff like that at Odsal is always the location. Apart from people who live in the local area, the only people who would turn up would likely be driving, which doesn't lend itself to a few beers watching the football on a big screen, so they'd chose to go somewhere nearer home where they can stagger home instead. The locals who may be tempted probably already have their own watering hole they would go to for it (Cue Gardens for example). So even if they were to put it on, there wouldn't likely be many people who'd actually turn up.
The only days that make any sense doing that kind of thing at Odsal is a matchday when you've got a load of people going to Odsal anyway, so they may be tempted to go early / stay late to watch the football too. But a lot of RL fans are very anti-football so you still probably wouldn't get a huge amount. Then you're looking at costs potentially outweighing the income.

That's correct Sam.
We've also hired a big screen that will be positioned at the Rooley Lane end of the ground to show the State Of Origin and England game.
I hope everyone enjoys the Bradford Brewery Bar in the marquee.

I say this, but then the club announce they're showing the England games on a big screen at Odsal.
Here's hoping they don't lose money on it!

| If I recollect correctly, haven't the council have put up a screen at Odsal in the past?
To be fair, Odsal is very accessible from the city centre by bus as there are quite few routes which converge near the stadium, though I doubt there are quite as many actual buses as in years gone by. I must confess I've never really got into watching sport (even RL) in pubs as it's usually far too rowdy to watch the games. Better at home, where I know I'll be able to see it, hear it, not have to fight to get a drink [iand[/i be able to get to the toilet at half time....

I think they did it there a couple of world cups back because they started showing them in the City Centre but it just wasn't big enough to cope with how many people turned up, so they moved it to Odsal instead.

| Interesting bit in t&a article about England game being shown at odsal. Quoted Damien Irvine as our commercial director. Did I miss him coming on board?. Was front man for one of failed bids iirc.
