i wouldn't say 5/6 years is long suffering, i guess thats what happens when you are brought up on unlimited success.'"
As rarebreed stated on his later mail, we had 7 fantastic years (1999 - 2006) and yes we absolutely embraced it with open arms and with as much vim and vigour as you can imagine .... Since then a gradual, relentless downhill decline.
Simple maths tells you more barren years of decline than of success.
For me personally, first game was '76 and smitten ever since even through the Seaboune years!
So yes Meast I do know what it is like to support through many many barren years and yes I did enjoy the glory years as well.
I feel more than qualified as Bulls/Northern fan to have a right old go at the current crop (players & coaching set up) given their inept performances this season.

| It ain't easy following a club that takes one step forward and two back.for me it's not all about the club, it's about the game in general. I have just lost interest, and developed cant be bothered attitude . Some of that could be fifty years of nothing, at least you have a history you could take part in. The SL years will have your club engraved on its history for ever. I think the SL years could and should have been managed better , our sport been allowed to take a back seat while the SL train kept on track. I honestly think that promotion and relegation should be the back bone of every sport , but I would suggest every three years not at the end of each season. The team with the best record over that period gets promoted, with the team with the worst record going in the opposite direction. That would allow clubs to plan for the future. Things don't look great , but it ain't all over yet. I also think J K would be a great choice for coach. All the best

Unlike Huddersfield who finished bottom of the pile on numerous occasions without being relegated the Bulls fans will have to suffer relegation. Unlike the Huddersfield fans the Bulls fans stand by their club, turning up week in week out.
Bradford will be a loss to Super League .... unlike Huddersfield and its car load of fans.
Genuinely hope Bradford can bounce back

Grow up man, if this was the other way round I'd be gutted, show a little respect!

| Quote Bob Dylan's Hat="Bob Dylan's Hat"The 'suffering' does not relate solely to performances on the field, it's more the off the field soap opera [incompetence, lying, false dawns, utter shambles really which wears you down over time. I have developed a certain amount of 'Bulls fatigue' the past 2 years or so. Following your team should be fun, a pleasant distraction from the daily grind regardless of whether you win, lose or draw. The Bulls have been emotionally draining to the extent I think 'is it really worth the angst any more?'. There is enough seriousness in my life as it is without the Bulls occupying some of that territory as well.'"
Spot on. I think there are plenty who feel the same.
I'll carry on, hopefully new venues with competitive matches at a lower level will bring some interest back [iif [/iwe can see some geniune attempts at rebuilding the club from bottom to top.
Ill be off to London away on the last weekend, kind of feels like a funeral obligation!
And to the OP, I can't really argue, today I wouldnt miss any of them.....tomorrow I might realise some of them can help the rebuild, but yesterday I'd have bought any of them a one way ticket to the club of their choice.

The 'problems' have gone on since 2004/5, though it's fair to say that, on the field at least, they showed up slowly since then. I think you're right in some ways and there are lots of fans who started in the late 90s who have known little but success for quite a while, and 'normality' would have been a bigger shock to their systems than for the longer term fans.
I think for such as myself, who can remember not only being in div2 previously but the single league and the Yorks and Lancs leagues before that, there is little problem! Are Bramley still at Barley Mow........?

| Quote Bully_Boxer="Bully_Boxer"I believe the time is right to thank FC for all he has done in very difficult circumstances but look to make a change. It probably won't alter our fate for this year but I'd like to see an experienced coach who knows both SL and Championship level well brought in. I think Karl Harrison or John Kear would be decent options for us right now if they're up for the challenge.'"
Cannot see either of them leaving where they are to take over a smaller club, would maybe show a lack of ambition if they did.
