Yes as far as i know he is actually a free agent after having his playing contract terminated.Note i said playing contract.
Also he is happy at rovers and doesnt want to leave and agreed to this move as did the rfl at every stage.
If anyone came in for him and he agreed then he would be gone,simples.

Did we not have a winger who we signed to replace an injured player out for the season. toa khoe love seems to spring to mind but Im sure once he was out for season he retired and left us?
I am sure we paid somone via insurance for his season ending injury and then de-registered him whilst signing somone else and paying with his cap money.
Dont seem to think there was any chance of us losing the player, circumstances may be different I.e a retirement or such but dont think de - registering that player would have affected us, not bothered so long as it is under the cap.

Just because he has been deregistered with the RFL doesn't necessarily mean that his contract with Hull KR has been terminated does it? Just because the RFL say any club are now free to register him doesn't mean Dobson is free to join another club if he is under contract with Hull KR?

I think there was a new article featuring Nigel Woods that stated that Dobson's contract had been terminated and the RFL had also de-registered him. Whether that article was correct is what I'm trying to get my head around.

His contract and registration are surely separate and he will still be getting his money as per the contract? If the club can't play him it's not Dobson's fault. With the live cap in place I'd assume HKR wouldn't have been allowed to sign Mason if they weren't still under the cap. It's not as though they're Warrington is it.
