So I'm going to add to the rumour that this is why Orford has become unsettled and wants to go home.
Cronk and Inglis with him please.

| Before the Leeds, Saints and wire fans jump in, I will add the comment that he is jumping from one set of salary cap cheats to another, and all titles won whilst breaching the cap were not deserved whatever the circumstances!!!

| Would Bellamy really be the best option? Bradford seem to have the opposite financial circumstances to Melbourne (noting Isaac's comment), and he's hardly worked wonders with NSW against a star-studded Queensland side. He's obviously a brilliant coach - but the right one for you?

Are you being serious?
Let me start off by saying I seriously doubt we could afford somebody of his quality and reputation. So I hope people do not get their hopes up for a Craig Bellamy stepping into the hot seat.
However if money was no object and the decision was mine, Bellamy would be among the 3 or 4 coaches that I would pick from. I the Bulls need to do something to inspire the fans back up to Odsal. We signed big name players like Matt Orford (people on this very forum wanted a 'marque' signing) and it has had done nothing to increase the crowds. I think the next appointment is very important to the long term future of the club. The appointment ideally needs to be a popular one and somebody that will re-ignite some interest back into the club.
I'd question Hood's judgement if he had the opportunity and means to bring in a World class coach and passed on the opportunity! Unfortunately I expect this is nothing but a silly rumour, if we end up with a Denis Bett/James Lowes/Harrison appointment then I expect team card memberships to drop on this years figures.
Out of the more realistic targets, I'd love to see Mick Potter at the Bulls.

Or it could be merely opportunity cost. The manager/coach is arguably far more important than the players. See Mourinho, Ferguson, Ancelotti, Capello, Van Gaal, Bellamy, Bennett, Gibson, Lombardi et al
Given that Orford is evidently on a hefty salary, it could be argued that the club could have coaxed nigh on any coach in the game. And what could Wayne Bennett, Craig Bellamy, Tony Smith, John Lang, Tim Sheens do with the current Bulls squad.
Significant amounts arguably.

| Bellamy aint that good, he has cheated his way to the reputation he has. I doubt he would be where he is today if they hadnt cheated the cap.

Don't be even more stupid, the bet is not whether Bellamy is our next coach, which is on any view unlikely, but whether you have specific inside information. And nobody believes for one second that you do, so give it a rest as it's embarrasing.

Yeh, it's a doddle moulding top class players into a winning team. Especially if you are French.
