| Not being funny (am I ever?) but could anyone advise of a good curry house near to the Alhambra?
We are going to the panto on Friday and want to go for a curry before the show.
It will have to be near to the theatre as we won't get to Bradford until 5.30ish and the show starts at 7.15 so need to be at the theatre for about 7.
Thanks.

| The International will do fine, a bit posher with some truly excellent "special" dishes is the Rawal opposite the Kash in Wilton Street, and a bit posher still is Omar's which is on Little Horton Lane on the left near the end of Wilton Street. (It's got a back door off the Wilton Street car park)

| Avoid the Kashmir if you'd rather not smell the bogs while you eat.
Omar's is a stone's throw from the Alhambra but isn't what it was. Omar Khan's is posher and more expensive (also within walking distance) but is ok.
Haven't been to the Rawal for years. The International can be great but occasionally the chef goes on a salt frenzy and all the dishes taste the same plus you need four jugs of water.
Another option is the Karachi on Neal St. Basic but usually great.
You've plenty of choice, all the above are within 5/10 mins walk of the theatre.

| I'd go for the International. The last few times I've been in the Karachi it was awful.

Anything up to £20 a head for food, drinks extra.
Thanks for the advice guys our usual is Omars on Gt Horton St and it's usually OK/Good but wanted to tap into some local knowledge.

| £20 a head?!?!? If you're spending that at any curry house in Bradford (including Mumtaz, Akbars etc), I'd be worried.
International is easily the best curry near the Alhambra imo, and well worth a trip up to there. Only a 5 minute walk from the theatre on Morley Street.

| Sorry guys but where exactly is the international? Is it on Morley Street itself?
(I may have misread the last post, are you saying the international or the theatre is on Morley St?)
If it is on Morley street how far up and on what side? I know where the Kashmir is, and we usually park in Wilton St if we can or further along Wilton street and turn right (no idea what that's called.)

Head for the Kash' from the Alhambra and it's on the same road. Keep going up the hill for another hundred yards or so and it's on the right. It's on the corner of rlManville Terrace and Morley Streetrl.
