Crabtree is understandable. He had a good series for England last time out and deserves to keep this place.

Both made the same number of appearances this season. Lynch played in a poor side that finished 10th, Griffin played in a good side that finished 5th. However :

Tries - Lynch 6, Griffin 2

Metres - Lynch 3074, Griffin 2343

Tackles - Lynch 682, Griffin 445

Offloads - Lynch 75, Griffin 6 (The Aussies will really need to wrap Darrell up)

Tackle busts - Lynch 41, Griffin 27

Missed Tackles - Lynch 22, Griffin 23 (Even though Griffin was in a side that is excellent in defence whereas we were pi$$poor)

Penalties - Lynch 9, Griffin 18

Errors - Lynch 15, Griffin 8

Errors is the only area Griffin looks better, but not enough to compensate for a much lower tackle efficiency, or 69 offloads less.

Stats dont mean nowt mate but thanks for showing me them, its obvious they dont mean owt to the coach, but the coach thinks Griffin is a better player than Lynch thats why Griffs in 1st class on friday and Lynch int.

And as for McNamara's selections, they say nothing about the quality of the player's - he signed & continued to play Sheriffe, Worrincy, Reardon etc.
