Yup! Our Mods need to look at those who deliberately/consistently destabalise threads.
Genuine opinions, good/bad/indifferent should be welcomed and even asides are acceptable.
An entire change of subject within a thread should not, especially if its from a self promoting numpty.

That's a tad unfair, FA was trying to get the thread back on course.

I would say totally agree...except I'd better not because that could be seen as public criticism of the moderating process and I'd get AUP'd...
Anyway, sod "look at" - more like
As for where we will finish - I have a sneaky feeling we may surprise a few. If we have better luck with injuries and the threequarters play out of their skins, we could challenge for the top four IMO. But its a big ask, cos we face stiff stiff competition in an improving Wigan, Cats, Hull, maybe Hudds. Leeds will surely finish top again, but I suspect Saints will slip a bit down the rankings. One day Wire will live up to the potential with their moneybags side - good start to the season and they could be the ones to topple Saints? I suspect we will see another season where there is not much in it outside the top one or two down to about ten or eleven even. Salford Crusaders and now Quins look much weaker than the rest so far?

| it's always dangerous trying to predict finishing spots so early! one point on our 3/4s though. Reardon, Halley and Nero have got to tick the boxes on most Bradford fans lists? My only potential (defensive) worry is Sykes. McNamara has Crookes and Platt to play there so we've always got options. There's even Sheriffe to cover a wing spot so no player in the 3/4s has a certain start unless playing well. I would hope that would stand us in good stead during the season.

Sheriffe to cover a wing spot? It looks a lot like he's first choice. It's the combination of him and Sykes which worries me most about our side.

I agree they can step into the centres. However I don't think either of them look like wingers. Haven't seen Crookes play there much (if at all) but his style doesn't seem to fit a winger from what I have seen of him. Platt I am very happy with playing in the centres, but not on the wings or fullback, as his high ball defence is just too shaky.
I know I've said it repeatedly, but the wings are clearly our weakest position. With only Reardon who could do a decent job there or moving Halley from fullback, they are the only good options. But, I'd give up decent wings for decent halves, and we finally seem to have that, so hey ho, can't have everything.

| I can't see Jason Crookes ever making it at the Bulls. He looks far to small and weak to me. A bit like Ashley Gibson. Sounds harsh, but I think it will be the thruth.

Saints have managed to get away with Gardner on the wing so Sheriffe should do till his contract runs out.

But Ady Gardner isn't a poor winger though.

He's slow and he can't catch. The only plus is that his defence is better than Sheriffe's

He isn't the fastest by any means, but he's certainley not slow. He's better than any winger we have at the min in my opinion.

He won't do better than Reardon, mark my words. And the Sheriffe of 2008 is a better player, but he really needs to find some form at Bradford or he shouldn't get another contract.

| I stopped reading the T & A comments a while back, but I need a punishment for glancing on them tonight.
Perhaps I need my eyes testing, but on Lynch's captaincy article some idiot has stated that if Neither Lynch or Orford wants it Sykes (Yes Sykes!!) would be a good choice.
Personally, I think Langley, Orford, Lynch & Menzies should be the only ones with a look in. Menzies would only fill it for a year so one of the other three looks likely. However a captain needs to lead by example so if that commiment is instilled in Langers he needs to up his game in return.
