Reading this doesn't look like their going to be season long loans in traditional sense and are only going to be here as long as leeds don't have injuries. Effectively we're almost a second dual reg club for leeds alongside Fev. you would expect Leeds will expect us to play their players to get them match fitness as that's their stated reason for sending them out so this could be pretty disruptive to our squad if the 3/4 leeds players are effectively guaranteed a spot irrespective of form.. Also notice they wont be made available to us until late in pre-season so not much chance to integrate them either.'"
John Kear says they are season-long loans.
There will be four arriving from one Super League and at least one more from our dual-registration partner. Smart business in my opinion.
Expect some good news by the end of this week.

| Quote: Bullseye "Sounds like the usual dual reg type of merry go round. Hopefully Leeds will be injury free and we get these lads for a longer run. The challenge is for our fully signed up players to keep them out of the side. I'm looking at this deal as something that adds a bit of depth. What positions are O'Connor, Edwards and Johnson?
Can't see Broadbent staying for long with us.'"
Jack Broadbent isn't coming to us.

I had this conversation with supporters in the shop at Odsal, the backline speaks for itself in my opinion and has improved with two exciting signings in Kieran Gill and Ryan Millar.
Jack Broadbent is a great young player but he will be better suited to Leeds dual-registration agreement with Featherstone because he will be a top 17-21 player and will in all likelihood be one of those players who ends up yoyoing between his parent club and his dual registration club.
I'd rather do what John has done and boost the forward pack with season long loans which add continuity and cohesion whilst using dual registration to bring in a third Super League half if we need cover in that position.

| I agree that signing Broadbent on loan would've been pointless as he's far too good for Championship rugby so you'd have a revolving door on one of our starting places.
I've been impressed with Gill's attacking play since I first saw him when we were in L1. I'm surprised Newcastle let him go considering the ambition they're showing with recent signings, are they going 100% fulltime? Just wondered if he preferred to stay part time? Why else would an apparently good player be allowed to to leave?
I've not seen much of Miller. Fullback is so important now I hope he's up to it.

Healthy competition at fullback with Elliot Kear, Elliot Hall and potentially one coming in on dual registration. No worries to my eye at this moment in time.
It's going to be a strange season with Bradford, Featherstone, Halifax, Dewsbury, York, Widnes and Newcastle all using dual registration.

| Unless Leeds sign some props they're going to use up their squad as cannon fodder. Oledzki, Prior, Smith and Holroyd - that's it. The squad might have plenty of numbers but most are too young, too small. By Easter week they won't have a single player out on loan or dual reg.

| Matty Race removed from the squad list on the club website today. With all 2021 contracts having finished yesterday, I assume this means he’s left. Would love to be wrong but that’s how it looks.

I remember Mustapha from the Academy game just prior to the Leeds 2019 Challenge Cup game (what a great day that was), he was head and shoulders above everyone that day. I was hoping he might be one of the players mentioned, very positive news IMHO.

| I see that Jamie Pye who was on trial has signed for Oldham, Looks like the travelling was too much and he's found a club nearer home
