40- redeverready

OK. Thanks everyone for the pledges, meaning that we are now up to 40 contributors, or £800.

I have now had a response from Laura, who says:

=#0040FFThe players we currently have available are Chris Ulugia and Mark Offerdahl, the rest have been renewed / taken from players sponsors that have left, the player sponsorship is going very quickly this time.

I therefore have thought of an idea that I think may work well for you. With the fact you sponsored Matt Diskin last season, how about Red, Amber and Black sponsor him in his new role as U19’s coach?

I know last season you got to around £1,000 [this was the sum for which we sponsored Diskin as a player, therefore what I am proposing is that if you get to this amount again you could sponsor Matt Diskin and we would include 5 members of the U19’s squad as well.

Is there anyone who would [unot[/u wish to go ahead with sponsorship as proposed above? Can we get another 10 contributors, especially as the sponsorship [uwill[/u include U-19 squad members? Please let me know.

Sounds great! Good to hear player sponsorships are going fast! Sure we still had about 5 first team regulars to choose from at the start of last season.

Sponsorship in my view should go to those with potential and so 2015 U19s are 2016 SL and beyond - sounds to be a solution with real payback benefits.

That sounds like a great idea and I'm well up for that. I'm happy to contribute towards making up any shortfall in numbers to hit the target too.
