Would agree more if hadn't been to NIL today. We would so have been crowing the same way if we'd nilled a top 4 side in 2003.
It is frustrating that its taken till now to put a complete performance but hopefully its a good sign for next season.
Maybe if there were more Huddersfield fans living/working near you who've been dishing it out since the away game, you'd be more enthusiastic!

| didnt go but i would suggest that people may be getting excited, not because we beat hudds, but dominated a top 3 team. it is while since we played a team off the park at all, let alone a genuine top 3 team

I agree with this. The reasult will probably mean nothing in terms of where we are at the end of the season as it may be too late for the play offs. But to play a top four team and completely dominate them from start to finish and leave them with nil on the scoreboard is brilliant. The fact it wasn't a 70odd point job shows it wasn't a case of the other team playing badly we actually completely bossed 'em.

| It really is rather sad when some people make it so obvious they obtain little enjoyment out of a long-overdue outstanding Bulls performance? They make it far more obvious than they seemingly realise that they are much happier when everything is going wrong, so they can tell anyone who is prepared to listen just how right they (think they) were. I fear the professionals could easily put a name to such a condition?
Anyway, the crowd at the end knew, and made clear, what they had just witnessed. Can't see they were all wrong? And what made it especially sweet was that it was against the team most of whose supporters keep rubbing our noses in it as a result of their good fortune in acquiring a rich owner. And a team far above us in the competition. I so hoped we would put on a show like we did today, I really did. I did not dare to believe we would, and feared the worst. Never have I been more proud to admit I was wrong.

| Can I just draw everyones attention to a few years when we won the last 8 or 9 games, still missed out on the play offs but everyone thought we had turned the corner, and that the next season was our year - and what happened?
im sorry but today means nothing if we get mullered by Warrington.

| From the first set we had to defend you could see we were up for it, we pinned them down in their 20m zone.
We played smart today, always looking into the corners to see if the wingers were back making sure we cold put a little grubber through. Through this we forced drop outs. Lynch was outstanding, always making metres and made no mistakes. Tom Burgess is making a name for himself, ripping up their defence and his first run from the kickoff was immense. Also the battle with Crabtree was fabulous to watch. And when Crabtree got sent off, we let Scruton, Koppy an Lynch wear the team down for 5mins before bringing Burgess back on to rip them up which I thought was a smart decision. Also taking the 2 at 22-0 up was a good desicion then to go 26-0 up (5 converted tries) was smart. And we continually took the tap to put pressure on them which paid off. And no collapse what so ever.
Hardly any mistakes, only person was Ah Van knocking on fromthe scrum and trying a stupid drop off with Jeffries (but we will forgive him).
The kicking game was supurb, especially when we grew some brains and Jeffries kicked on the 2nd tackle. Herbert's kicking was great too, except once he always found the floor or turned the fullback around. Elima put in a nice grubber or 2, Whitehead did a couple of good kicks as well.
Defence was excellent, and it showed we have some passion left when Keith Mason looked certain to score then boom Jeffries comes out of nowhere to knock his arm. We were determined that Hudds wern't getting over our line. Some monster hits from Whitehead especially when he kicked it through, chased it and absolutly creamed the Giants player. Sykes smashed a few into next week and Elima's hit on Grix was a beauty, looked like Grix was through the line and Elima threw himself into Grix.
The tries we scored wern't 'easy' tries but well worked, Ah Van's was a beauty, who threw that last pass?? Kearney's was excellent and Sykes' 2 tries were excellent lines run by Sykes. Jeffries was great backing up, and Platt's showed that even in the dying minutes he was committed.
Couldn't help notice that Huddersfield didn't opt for the short kick-off, maybe they thought they had no chance of coming back, maybe confidence was low, maybe they were focusing on next week who knows??
Anyone else think Sykes was gunna take off the Huddersfield players head???
Going to stick my neck out and say that is the best we have played since the 2005 Grand Final, even better than the 2006 World Club Challenge, absolutly amazing 80 minute performance, still buzzing now. Sorry about the long post

| Plenty of so-called "better" teams have been mullered by Wire.
On a day when, for the first time for a while, Bulls fans have something to cheer about, I find it disappointing that the negative brigade can't at least button it for one evening. Just one fekking evening, ffs?
Tomorrow is another day, but I suggest it takes a special sort of individual to set out to rain on everyone else's parade on a day when the sun shone, metaphorically if not literally.

But nobody is saying we "have turned a corner". Nobody is reading anything into the tealeaves. Nobody is claiming that we have suddenly been transformed into the best team in the world. Everybody who was there, and cheered the team to the rafters at the end, is taking it for what it was - a resounding victory, and amongst our best 80 minute performances in years.
And whether or not we get mullered by Warrington is just so totally irrelevant to today that I wonder what you are actually on about? Let me follow it through; we have a great win against one of the leading sides in the comp' but for some nutty reason we have to wait and see if Warrington muller us before we can say what this outstanding performance "means"
Despite his size Crabtree is about as mean and threatening as professor Steven Hawking brandishing a feather duster.
What did he do?

Jeeeeeesus it must have been a real wrist wringer for you watching the score clock up on teletext and musing over how many Huddersfield players had turned up.
Bradford were outstanding today, all who were there acknowledge that. If you really are a Bradford fan at least give credit where its due (although I suspect that sort of contrition is not in your make up). Otherwise, go feck off and annoy somebody else by pretending to like their team from a distance.

| Quote: daveyz999 "Great Game - I think it was nearly 15 minutes before Huddersfield had the ball in our half (ball in hand that is).
Biggest improvement for me today was the decision making in attack. Reminded me of the old days where we either scored or got another set of 6 from a drop out.
People had been making comments all week on the fitness of the players and i think they may have had a point. When we're not defending the entire half (due to the multiple mistakes we usually make), we didn't look tired - in fact, can't remember that many occasions when the players were stood with hands on hips.
Tom Burgess is such an exciting prospect - if you compare his game stats to Fe'ka at Salford, they are pretty even (Fe'ka has more offloads to his game).
The impact he is making during recent games, makes me think he will be the real deal in a few more years. If i was Potter or Hood, i'd be looking at handing a 3 year extension to what he currently has. Can't afford to let this home grown talent leave!
Best game i have seem from Whitehead for ages - well done that lad, and the backs were solid in defence, big hits by Platt early on. Raynor seems to be getting better every week, another big performance.
Not saying we are world-beaters but it goes to show that with 2/3 new signings, we should be able to compete with the big teams on a weekly basis. I was delighted with the win, but also soooooooo frustrated we had to wait
until mid July to see this performance!
If we can gain confidence for next season by playing similar for the rest of the season, Mr Potter, just might be able to turn the ship around.'"
Huddersfield had the ball from kick off If I remember rightly then one of Childs non existent penalties meant we had to give the ball back to Bradford.
The Bulls played really well today but the Giants are in reverse and this has been coming for some time.
We have now lost at Castleford, Crusaders, Catalans, Wakefield, Wigan, Wire and now Bradford so not great form on the road.
Alls not right at the Giant at the mo so don't get too carried away, although a good win I would judge it after you have visited Wire cos the Giants are on a steep decline back end of this season.
Good Luck for the rest of the season
