| Quote Sensei-Bull="Sensei-Bull"I thought we'd signed Briggs as our stand off? Good young British talent. What would be the point of signing him to be backup? A player of his ability should be starting. If he's not good enough to be our 1st choice stand off, we shouldn't have signed him. He may not be ready straight away but we have enough cover to allow him to settle in short term.'"
If he is good enough, he'll be in the team.
I see no reason why we shouldn't look to further strengthen the squad though.

Agreed langley is an outstanding backrower. but a creative loose forward he isnt. Thats why he's been used in the 2nd row, where he's more effective, for most matches for a few years now. We've had burgess, morrison and beaver playing at loose for last few seasons. A creative loose forward would give us another attacking option which is never a bad thing.

Langley would continue to be an outstanding player for us at second row or Prop. I personally prefer a 13 to be a creative player as well as a grafter.

creative 13's seem to be a position thats gone out of favour a little last few years. can only really think of sinfield as an example since sculthorpe retired.

I actually thought Langley had an extra dimension to him last week against Halifax. Obviously not to the level of a Sinfield or O'Loughlin, but he was certainly looking to move the ball on and look for options, rather than just carry it. I think he's been used as a 3rd prop over the last few years, which is a waste IMO, we should be looking to use him as an option.

Add Greg Bird, Sean O'Loughlin, Westerman to that list maybe? Perhaps it is a lack of quality 13's available rather than it being out of favour?

| Ball hangling LF's are a thing of the past. Gimme a grafter anyday of the week. Langley is the best LF at the club and nobody is taking that jersey from him this year or next.

I don't doubt that Langley has some ball skills that we haven't seen too much of in recent years. But being able to shift the ball a bit isn't really the same as being creative. I like to see a 13 who can kick or put a player into some space. Just my thoughts though, I'm certainly not unhappy to have Langers there.

| Not a rumour, but what are peoples thoughts on making a bid for millard at wakey. they are desperate for cash and he looked to have a killer touch we may be lacking

we were linked with him before they signed him. as such I kept an eye on him whenever wakey were on sky last year and can't say I was too impressed. Think theres other areas of squad we could use a quota spot on to better effect.
