Hard to criticise really given that selling this Sunday's match is like trying to sell Christmas to a load of turkeys

One point though. I know the club steers away from public criticism of the players but it strikes me that a bit of honesty wouldn't go amiss. The current situation isn't just a glitch on an otherwise upward path it's more like another low on a continuing downward trajectory. The fans want to keep the faith but they need to see evidence that there is passion and commitment on the field in deeds not in words.

What would I have him say?

"Many results this season haven't been good enough for this club and the players know they can and must do better. While we've had a lot of injuries to key players so have many other teams and we must dig deeper, it's times like this when you find out what you're made of. We all want to see a win on Sunday and despite what the pundits and other fans say we always have a chance if we pull together."

Spot on there IMO, although maybe could be marginallty more upbeat if trying to rally the wavering fans - "...we certainly have a great opportunity to spring a real upset provided we all pull together and go in with a positive and assertive attitude" - sort of thing?

I suspect they are so short-handed and so multi-tasked up there that some of their material has to be produced with far too little time available.

I think Bullseye is being very charitable. I would have him announce the 'signings to whet the appetite' we were promised last year. Furthermore rather than telling us they're keeping faith in Mick Potter I'd have him take some responsibility for Potter inheriting a squad with not one senior half back alongside a host of other obvious failings.
