As someone obviously in the know perhaps you can answer a couple of questions.
There has been talk in the past of temporary stands at Dewsbury for one reason or another. Is that likely to be in the plans do you think?
Is it true about the reduced capacity at the moment?
I'd have thought it prudent to issue tickets even to season ticket holders who can get in free. A decent understanding of how many are likely to turn up would surely prevent possible problems on the night. On the one hand it's a local game and not televised, which means there are likely to be plenty of fans from Bradford interested. On the other hand, round 4 matches don't usually attract large crowds.
There's plenty of time before the fixture to get some idea of actual numbers really.
I'm really pleased with the draw. Even with free ticketing it's likely to be a good one for Dewsbury to make some cash in the bars etc. I'm glad a local club is going to benefit from this. Ignore Ewwenorfolk's frankly thoughtless comments, most of us are looking forward to going to Dewsbury for this game.

| Andreab, good questions . To be honest there have never been any plans to erect or use temporary stands as the logistics of it would be extremely difficult and not really worthwhile . one of the big problems is that under the ground safety regs it is ok to have spectators on the grass bankings at each end of the ground , in fact on a nice day its a great way to watch the game . problem is that the safety certificate includes the rider that if the weather is bad and it is raining the ends cannot be used so it makes it very difficult to plan ahead . A while ago there were structural issues with the south ( terraced ) stand which required much work to be done , whilst this was being completed the stands capacity was reduced for safety reasons and as yet that capacity has not been increased and whether it is possible to do so before the game i do not know . as i understand it the kirklees ground safety officer will set the capacity and the bulls will recieve 50% of that capacity in tickets , the rest will go on sale . At this time i do not know how those tickets will be sold . On the rams website it states the grounds capacity as 3700 but do not take that as being the correct figure as it is variable and at one time was 4200 although it is currently lower owing to the reasons i have explained . when the ground was originally built it was designed for 5000 with 2750 in the terrace 1150 seated and 1100 split between the two ends , that was until kirklees decided that it was not safe for people to stand on grass ,espescialy when its wet . when i find out what the capacity is and how many tickets will be allocated to the bulls for season ticket holders i will let you know although that may not be the end of the story as any tickets not taken up by rams supporters will be offered for sale .hope this helps .

| Look everyone. I hate emoticons with a passion but Ewwenorfolk had a prominent wink at the end of a seemingly daft comment.
Don't you think that's a bit of a clue?

I thought it gave the game away too. In fact, it seemed quite blatantly obvious to me that it was a joke. Maybe he should have put a great big "JOKE" in big letters and multi-colours just to be obvious. I'm sure that was suggested on here before by someone, forget who though.

Not that it matters. Dewsbury were drawn first and will host the match. I'm sure there will be enough tickets for those who want them.

| Well I'm sure both clubs will sit down with the RFL and look at it in a sensible way. If there is a good chance of Dewsbury not being able to meet the demand then I'm sure they'd consider moving venue especially if that means them getting a bigger money bag

| Well at least Shaggoth and Dilligaf got the joke, even if it was a bad one.
Andrea, why wouldn't I be looking forward to the game? I can't wait actually, a good local derby which should be fairly competitive and also a chance to see if any youngsters are ready to make the step up. I am looking forward to it, whether or not you think I am I couldn't care less tbh.

To be honest I don't think there would be bigger money bag playing the gameat Odsal. There would be less paying customers for start. And I for one wouldn't be happy giving away home advantage and then having to travel away to Bradford ! Just accept you are drawn away and you will more than likley be in the draw for the next round!

| Sadly the crowd for the game would be no bigger at Odsal than at Dewsbury, and when it is played at Dewsbury the big advantage is it will be a full house and will seem like an occasion. 3K at Odsal would seem like a wake for deaf mutes.
