| Any reason why the Bulls should be waiting around to see which players are ditched by NRL clubs?
Skip Sutton and make a play for Sonny Bill. Might be a risk after the Orford fiasco but there's no doubting his ability.

seriously doubt we've got the cap space to accomodate him and tbh dont really want to go down route of having one player on a much higher wage than all the others.

| Suppose it depends how eager they are for success. Someone of his ability would turn a playoff team into title contenders. A world class loose forward would be the icing on the cake.

| Meanwhile back in the real World..
I reckon Sutton would be a good addition to our side and since we have provided Souths with two Burgess brothers it is the least they can do.

Apparently Donaldson is going to be world class. Cant see it myself.

Agreed, don't see why we're still looking for a 6. If Sutton is available then it clearly should be pursued as he's top class, but I would put faith in Briggs, considering how we've signed him..

| Sutton is a long way short of top class.

He'd certainly do a job for us, but, the point I was making was people saying 'we need a 6', when we've just signed a very credible one, albeit unproven in SL, but with the potential to be fantastic. I just hope Briggs gets a run in the side and people aren't lynching him from game one.

| I thought we'd signed Briggs as our stand off? Good young British talent. What would be the point of signing him to be backup? A player of his ability should be starting. If he's not good enough to be our 1st choice stand off, we shouldn't have signed him. He may not be ready straight away but we have enough cover to allow him to settle in short term.

whilst we dont 'need' a 6 anymore it wouldnt hurt to have another in the squad to provide cover/competition. And if it was someone like sutton who could also strengthen us at loose forward then I don't see a problem. Ideally we'd get someone to play loose who could cover both halves positions as for mine we still look weak at scrum half if herbert gets injured.

I'd agree with that 100%. Likewise I don't think Briggs would have moved to be a back-up.

| We dont need any cover at LF. Langley is an outstanding backrower. Sutton is a good player I agree, but not top class.
