You guys are reading far too much into those comments I think. When MD says things happening behind the scenes he probably means the players like Fleming being unhappy and being moved on. Unhappy players in the squad are bound to lower morale.

Starting rumours on here about financial issues will only make things worse, and unless someone can point me towards some actual evidence of this being the case, I suggest we pack it in now. I expect better from some of the people on here.

Not heard anything and I would expect non-payment of bills to be public very quickly and there's been none of that yet. But MD's comments were concerning, there's no denying that.

In all honesty I think it's more MD trying to look for excuses for the players. He's early in his tenure as coach and probably isn't wanting to throw the players under the bus already, so lines like "there's lots going on behind the scenes" is probably just convenient lines to hide behind and try protect the players a little.

It's not as if this team has just fallen off the edge of the cliff, they've been weak all year (Fax, Sheffield, Barrow etc)

Can the mods take down some of these rediculous posts regarding financial issues. There has been absolutely nothing to suggest anything of the kind and the scaremongering thats creeping in on here is not on. Absolute pathetic from some of you.

Being fair, we have a 5th/6th place playing budget and are sticking to it. This is what cutting our cloth looks like. I’m not enjoying it at the moment though as we are seriously underperforming. From memory though, the accounts are due I think? But we got lucky with the first year of covid as we had no stadium to pay for and furlough took care of wages so I expect the books for 20/21 to look ok.

You talk about what players you want rid of and we'll discuss the implications of nobody in the ground + no budget for next year if that's OK.

So next season we spend a bottom 8 playing budget and hope to hit that?
