To be honest, i won't be as gutted losing Bentley and Ryan as i don't expect to keep them in L1. Both are so much better than L1 players and i would rather they moved on and have successful careers they deserve. For me we need to try and do a Toulouse. Get a young squad, enhanced with senior players, gel in L1, hopefully get promoted and add or two quality additions that will improve the squad. Try get some continuity. and try building by keeping the nucleus of the team and keep adding.

Yep, second that, he's been a good solid player for us, and I genuinely wish him all the best wherever his future takes him

Thought he was superb against Sunday. Had the heart of the lion. If some of our other players had his heart and mental toughness and the never give in attitude just instead of feeling sorry for ourselves because something goes against you, i think we would have had a few more wins this season. Will go on to better things. But there's more promising juniors coming through. We go again.

As much as you don't want to lose them, you can't ever wish anything but good things on someone moving on who has given their all for Bradford. And James Bentley has clearly done that in every game I've seen him play this year.

Although I won't pretend part of me doesn't hope he doesn't get in the first team yet and comes back to Bradford on loan!

If it did, I'm sure we wouldn't receive it because the previous club went into administration/liquidation. Like most other money we're entitled to, it's usually diverted to pay some previous crook's debts.

John B is working hard to get some deals done with our most promising kids. He knows just as much as us the importance of hanging onto players. The challenge is to give them a future once they've broken into the 1st team. Otherwise we just become a nursery, we have a great reputation for developing players into 1st teamers but they then have to go elsewhere because our 1st team is poop.

And realistically, you can't see that changing any time soon.

I think we are destined to become known as one of the country's best feeder teams. Actually scratch that, we already are.

I would assume we'll get 1 year worth of development compensation, as we are a new company which started in mid-January. The RFL will have to decide.

Because all the aspects of this have been fully thought out by the RFL....

Our only hope is a bit of a "sweet spot" in the next couple of years, where we get some good youngsters into the team which drives a bit of success, which they & the fans commit to and we go from there.

Let's get the media man on this and give it a positive spin... "Are you a promising youngster? Why not sign for the Bradford Bulls. In no time you too could be snapped up by saints/Wigan/Huddersfield etc"

In serious, the best of luck to James. He has been a rare positive in this season and always have it everything he had. I hope we have at least attempted to wrangle him back on a year long loan next year as he is unlikely to get into the saints first team straight away.
