| Whilst Mick is a good commentator and has a lot of passion for the game, I can't believe some of the stuff I'm reading on this thread on some of the earlier pages.
Whilst I don't know, and by the looks of it none of us knows why Mick is no longer associated with BCB - if and I mean IF he was removed from duty then can you really blame them given his past record? He's a liability who caused a lot of grief that simply didn't need to be caused during the Admin period.
IF he has been removed, I hope he learns to not act like a douchebag, to keep quiet and not to speculate. Report the facts, to which AFAIK, Mick never had any.
I hope that isn't the reason he's no longer there - but seriously guys, come on, I'd have expected the boot if I'd have caused as much grief earlier in the season, as I'm sure you would too.
Now, like I said, he always did a good job commentating. Good luck in your future endeavours Mick, all the best, and I hope you have a long successful career. Just remember everything you've learnt so far, and learn from any mistakes.

| I meant to listen to Mick's Mixlr stream but somehow forgot and ended up with BCB
I know it was quite likely a pretty poor end of season game, but they managed to make it sound even worse than that.
And apparently we now have players called Ed Chapelhow and Carlton Roche.

It's not my Mixlr stream, but the club's Mixlr as the Trevor Foster Audio Commentary goes out through that, enabling more supporters to benefit and listen.
I've mentioned this before on other threads but Trevor and Simon Foster donated £3000 to enable the club to purchase the equipment back in 2010 - the year I first started commentating on the games.
It'll be available at the weekend for the games against City Of Hull Academy and Swinton Lions.

Thanks for it listened last 2 weeks and enjoyed it. Also enjoyed joe Keyes dad passion today. I've listened to Pete and whilst having history with him (in a good way as a coach he was a great bloke to play for) and I am a touch bemused by the little mistakes which I'm totally guessing must be nerves as he knows his rugby. But thanks again kick I'll keep listening that way, well until young one is old enough for a season ticket!

Right, but his name is Jay. I don't think Jay is short for Edward

Well there are a few names that derive from Edward, but I assume he decided he preferred 'Ted' - which is the reason why everyone apart from the BCB commentator calls him 'Ted'

Batley also had someone called 'Brambeeni', who wasn't mentioned in the T&A..
Commentary does seem to slow down and meander a bit and then suddenly come back to life - usually with a comment about "being on the 30 or 40 meter line", but not mentioning whether it's ours or theirs..
David Doyle Davidson (DDD) on Radio Blunderside was a master of that sort of commentary. He would talk about anything and everything when the visitors had the ball but he would immediately snap back to turbocharged mode the instant FC took possession. Pete seems to do it randomly, though.
To be fair to Pete, he's new and you don't become top rank immediately and if things are pointed out it gives a target for him to aim for - like playing, it takes a bit of practice and in truth I don't think I could do it.

Official Super League account has just tweeted the teams for Wire/Widnes. They've called him Ed too. Probably because it's his name.
He goes by "Teddy" on his own twitter account, something I've not seen any media outlet refer to him as. Seems fairly clear he's not all that bothered about which shortened version he uses. Except I expect he doesn't like being called Jay (which incidentally is short for James...). Point remains, it was hardly something to pick the commentator up about.
