| Quote Ferocious Aardvark="Ferocious Aardvark"Yes, fscking off season ticket holders including your longest-standing and biggest paying members at the very first home game is great, isn't it?'"
They haven't vexed off anyone. A decision was made 30-45 mins before kickoff that the terracing was dangerous. They made the call to put everyone in the stand as a one off and even tweeted that those paying on the gate would be paying £15 instead of the normal £10 to compensate for this.
It won't be a regular thing. Never was going to be so don't get your knickers in a twist. And it's been ages since you got names on a seat. So why even bother bringing it up? There is no reason too now that we don't pack out the stand.
As I have said before somewhere. People like to stand for the games. And you'll find that it will go back to normal next home game. If the club decide that they will ONLY open the stand for home games then fair enough those who have paid more, go complain. But you are talking about a hypothetical situation which won't happen. As this would cause more grief for the club than needs be.

Ist game yes FA - but difficult weather. Club clearly didnt want to put our first match off so it was sensible to put all into the Stand if terraces were likely to be dangerous. This was done at last minute.
Our family have had Stand seats for several years and only one season have they been marked as reserved. Some of us found our seats already occupied on Sunday but sat in alternative seats. It was a one off - we thought Club had shown initiative actually. It probably encouraged more people to attend thus extra revenue. We (family) got value seats we had paid for within a few feet of our normal ones.

Tell me how they have vexed season ticket holders? I assume you mean by biggest paying, the ones who pay for the Coral Stand? If you are referring to the regular seating stand again how have they vexed you?
It was a one off thing. A decision made 30-45 mins before kick off when we had just confirmed the game would be on after an inspection. Do you have a personalised seat that comes with your season ticket? Or do you just sit in the same spot in every game because that is what you have always done?
If the club decides that from now on they will only open the stand then fair enough complain. But your talking about a hypothetical situation that won't happen. Too many people enjoy standing, myself included (although my Grandad uses the stand with his friend). The club would also lose too much income on the bars and food/rent from these places located at the top of the terracing.
To be honest it sounds like your complaining over nothing.

You put it slightly better than me I think haha.
Worth to mention that when announcing that all standing people would be moved to the stand the club actually tweeted that payment on the gate would be £15 rather than the usual £10 to compensate for the switch to the stand.

They haven't? So I'm not "anyone"?
Of course I have a seat, they all have a number and a row, and I paid £249 for it, if you exclude the £50 car parking. I think being able to sit in it is "something", but in the post-truth world of alternative facts it is presumably also nothing.

No, all I did was make the point that I have a £249 seat that I couldn't sit in. I didn't say it was on a par with the fscking Somme, but it's not "nothing".
All they need to do is fix "RESERVED" signs to season pass seats and tell people to "sit in any unreserved seat". I hope they now will.

Maybe they vexed off you then. I'm not into alternative facts or lies. But your banging on like this happens every game. It's happened once. Did you explain the situation to the person sat in your seat? Who probably has never sat in the stand before? Was it resolved? Did you select that seat personally or did the club just assign you a random seat in the section (this is just for personal curiosity btw as my grandad may look into getting one)?
Unfortunatley the club has a lot bigger issues than to go around sticking reserved signs on seats. As mentioned before this hasn't happened for years so why is it all of a sudden a huge problem? And as I say if this is the pinnacle of the problems then the Bulls are in a good place!

As I already said, the centre stand was packed, the game had already kicked off, and so I not being a [itotal[/i twwat decided not to push my way along the row and make a scene. Hardly fair on the Rochdale lads sat there who had no idea the seats were taken and in fairness most of those aren't, as few pay top dollar in that area.
Quote Bulls Boy 2011="Bulls Boy 2011"Did you select that seat personally or did the club just assign you a random seat in the section (this is just for personal curiosity btw as my grandad may look into getting one)?'"
Yes, and I've sat in it since Adam were a lad. They have a seating chart on screen and you can pick whichever are not taken, but the trick is to inspect the seats first yourself, so that you know in advance what the view is going to be like and which bits the pillars will obstruct.
Quote Bulls Boy 2011="Bulls Boy 2011"Unfortunatley the club has a lot bigger issues than to go around sticking reserved signs on seats.'"
Because I did actually say that that was the biggest issue the club had, didn't I, and haven't posted a word about the bigger picture, have I?

They have vexed off a few people actually. I know a few who sit in the stand who weren't happy that they essentially paid more for that game than others who got the same (or better) seats. Think about those non-season ticket holders too that pre-bought a ticket for the stand at £20 and then they allowed people to pay £15 on the gate for the same thing. Is it fair on them?
Just FYI, the £15 is the standard TERRACING price, not £10. They didn't pay any extra to "compensate for this", they paid exactly the same as they would if they'd have been on the terracing. Where your magical £10 price comes from, I'm not sure.
Bottom line, people who pre-bought tickets for the stand paid more than those who paid on the day, but got the same seat. It's not hard to understand why they may be vexed by that. Personally, I'm not that fussed over one game. If it becomes more than one game, I'll be fussed. But I can totally understand why others are.
Quote Bulls Boy 2011="Bulls Boy 2011"Do you have a personalised seat that comes with your season ticket? Or do you just sit in the same spot in every game because that is what you have always done? '"
Yes, you do have an allocated seat. It has your block, row & seat number on your season ticket.
As FA has correctly said, those that have been vexed by this (and yes, it's arguable how many that is) are the ones that have bought season tickets despite all the hassle, and have paid more than the minimum £150 for that ticket. They're not really the fans you want to be vexing in order to help out those who haven't got a season ticket and are paying a one-off £15 on the gate, then may not come again.
One thing you may want to do is get your facts right before posting. Facts like suggesting people don't have specific seats allocated and pay £10 to go on the terracing.

FYI I pay £10 as a concession. So there is that option so hence £15 for me then to move into the stand. I didn't want or choose to sit in the stand, is it fair on me and many others to charge more to sit when we normally stand on the terrace? I think not? Yet I didn't complain because I understood it was a one off.
It's hard to understand because it's been blown out of proportion for one game. As I stated earlier. If the club now decide this will happen again, then by all means go complain. But for the sake of a one off, due to factor out of the clubs control is a bit pedantic.
And I didn't suggest that people didn't get their own seat numbers etc. I asked FA for clarification because I wasn't 100% so instead of assuming, I asked. Maybe you should check that fact too before posting?
At the end of the day the only reason I replied on this matter was because people were acting and going on like this is a regular thing when it clearly is not. It was a one off. It's in the past. Move on.

No, it wasn't fair on you if that's the case. But you had a choice before you paid it, correct? Those who had already paid more for the stand than those who paid less, had no choice in the matter. They'd already paid it.

Nobody has said it's a regular thing. In fact I've repeatedly said it's a one off and doesn't bother me so much unless it becomes a regular thing. But I can totally understand why other people are annoyed by it. They have essentially been ripped off. Bottom line. In fact they've been ripped off more than those who went to Fev and paid an extra £2 to sit in a stand others had been paying less for all season. But there were a hell of a lot of people kicking off about that too.
