| As a point of interest...we're castigating the club for the lack of pies but aren't the food stalls all concessions, so not directly controlled by the club?
That said, I have it on good authority that it was in fact the tea lady, who, on the basis of being a regular pleb who would automatically know what to order, had been given responsibility for co-ordinating the food sources with the outlet franchisees. She did ask for advice and was told to try and order the sort of food stalls that she herself liked. However, being on a diet, she was dead set against any pies being ordered. Apparently, the oiks who failed to find any pies, for some reason, didn't want to eat any of the Ryvitas and low fat cheese that she'd got in, despite them being infinitely better for their health, so we lost hand over fist on those.

The snacks I was referring to were bar snacks. Which would be controlled by the club.
The pies I don't know, as I've never bought one. Are they not bought from the same place though? (i.e. not the burger van that wouldn't be the club's). You certainly used to get pies from the bar directly behind the media section, before they closed that and left the little building bit the only open bar behind the stand. It may have changed since then though.

| The young academy lads who were on the pitch at half time all had a pie as they passed me on the terrace where the teams come out. Those of you who wanted a pie should have put on a black Bulls polo shirt and shorts or trackie bottoms then wandered on and off the pitch and got not only your pie but no doubt a free pie

I'd have tried that before, but the fact I'm quite clearly not a professional athlete would probably rumble me. Although Lauaki seems to manage to pass as one, so maybe there's hope.

| Eh!! ..and I thought they got they all got advice about nutrition and healthy living these days - going to hell in a handcart, I tell you, hell in a handcart
It has to be said, of course, that the rumour still persists that, in these straitened times, nutrition is one of the duties currently being covered by the tea lady, so I guess anything can be expected..

| They're like Pukka Pies, in a heated cabinet behind the main stand bar. So bar snacks, for sale (or not!) in the main bar, just like crisps.

Well with a full pre season behind you it could work for you next year. It certainly did for Lauaki this year as I'm sure he managed a full 15 minute spell in one game this season

| Nope, the pie machine was still there, but switched off, and looking cold, lonely and unloved.

Well it would be unloved as they put all the pies in the one in the touchdown
