It will be interesting to see how he gets on at Saints, and whilst it is slightly annoying that yet another of our academy players is at another SL club, at least it's in a position where we are not lacking right now.

Not sure about him to be honest. He's fallen off the radar a bit and not exactly someone to get into a bidding war for. I'll wait until he's made the Saints first team before ruing his loss too much.

Interesting that. I watched both of the Flanagans in the academy and thought they were Ok but nothing special and then, when Nobby made a point of taking Mark to Wigan, I wondered if I'd missed something, but that clears it up I guess.

Obviously you just never know with academy players, some will become stars and many don't even turn pro, and some progress at a different rate to become late developers, but in the early days, the one thing you can never really be certain of is which are which.

Mark Flannagan is a good forward imo.
