Quote: vastman "I agree with what you say - however I must point out that you did actually play against a very weak Trinity pack. Front line props Sculthorpe, Stosic and Bibey (who pre injury form was quite exceptional for him) were all missing whilst Moore was playing his first match back from his well documented illnes.

Now it's all if's and but's and there is no guarantee that any of the players missing from either side would have made a difference. However I have no doubt that part of your comeback in the second half was due to the fact that your bigger pack was winning the arm wrestle in the middle which may not have been the case had we had some bigger more seasoned players available. It's just a detail but it's worth noteing.'"

I know. I'd hoped no-one would point that out! Moore coming on lifted your lot for sure, though. But, and in fairness, had your big guys been out on the park, I think our guys were still so depleted after Friday that you could well have ground us down and run riot in the last quarter. Kear has done wonders with taking seemingly "problem" props and turning them into cracking players. In the case of Bibey and Moore, I suspect they owe him a debt that extends far beyond the rugby field.

Couldn't fault the team for effort, and playing two games in short order (both teams, even if we had the harder one) it was never going to be pretty, but McNamara said "It is criminal the amount or errors we made" and he is right. It is very frustrating to come away froma match like that, a narrow 2 point defeat, when it is clear we basically gave the game away through the cumulative result of a procession of silly mistakes. fsck knows what we do about it - you can't legislate for a regular flow of basic dumb mistakes, giving the opposition hundreds of metres of territory and many minutes of possession.

Still, if we win our game in hand we are halfway up the table, and we've only lost 2 games more than Leeds, who are in 3rd, so things don't look so bad for our patched up transitional squad, and but for the odd missed goal kick here and there we would be nearer still.

I hear that there is no chance at all that we will have 17 fit men for Friday, so we'll start the game with some busted. Such is life.

5 carries resulting in 4 turnovers wasnt it? Why on earth does he think that in his first game for a long while he can instantly start making killer offloads? Its hard to feel any sympathy for him when he's so clearly overweight.

No, blows hot and cold very inconsistent. Just like too many of our players. Recruit erratic players, get erratic performances.

We have tracked him for a while now maybe Deacons problem is bigger than the club has let on .

And before the idiots comment I know he plays a different position but I believe he does kick well which is an area where we are struggling without deacs.

there must be someone better than rinaldi we can sign? If not then surely look to next season to replace him?

I've got no major issues with Rinaldi as a stop gap signing, so long as we are still in the market for a scrumhalf and centre.

Quote: bigchris "Two points lost, should of had them today, the forwards were on top and we controlled most of the game. A few too many errors and a gifted try for them cost us, bet the lads are kicking themselves, it was there for the taking today against a very average looking Wakefield side.'"

I dont think you controlled the game at all today, I guess in my opinion the team that controlls the game are the team that are in front - and we were in front all the way through the game. The sad thing for Bradford is that we were below average (one of our worst performances of the season) yet we deserved to win the game and did so without any real problem. Its just plain sad to see you in the mess your in. If you were a dog I think they would put you down.

The game could have been so different thogh if Menzies had gathered the ball when it hit his knee's. They had 2 players supporting him with only Blaymire to beat.

Granted we didn't score from the result set, we knocked on, but the scrum from that knock led to the terrible pass by Jeffries i think and Brough's score. Really changed the game

Its amazing how many teams claim to have played so poorly against the Bulls and won (or lost in Leeds case). The Bulls played poorly too, I think that's pretty widely acknowledged, yet you still only won by 2.
So you are excusing your own teams shortcomings here I guess. To say you won without any real problems? Are you serious? So you were not at all concerned in the last 25 mins? You always knew it was in the bag?
Another day, a missed kick, a different call from the ref and it would have been a loss to Wakefield. You are in no position to be quite so cocky in reality.

No my friend you have highlighted the issue yourself - in days gone by any team playing Bratford would have to perform at their best to beat them. My point is that nowerdays you can play below par and still beat them, not having a go its just how it is. You were poor and fair play we were not much better but the fact is you have been poor ALL SEASON this was not a one off

But its good to know that a Wildcat fan from Worksop watches all our games, home and away. Fair play to you for that, sir!
