Where did anyone say they were “aggrieved”?

| Todays game. The first half we were not at the races and I thought to myself that Oscar Thomas isn't a bad player after all. Then the doing they must have got at half time seemed to spark them in to action and we ran away with it the end as they tired. It was nice to see a win at Odsal and not go home playing hell about the performance, I think we've got 5 games left now 2 at home and 3 away so not long to put us out of our misery !!

I really don't understand what it is that can be said to a team by the coach at half time, to make them perform better in the 2nd like we did.
Okay, I get that the coach can give a few tactical tips; advise on where he sees weakness in his team and where the opposing team is looking strong; give 'em the hairdryer treatment, etc, and these will make a difference, I'm sure, to the 2nd half performance.
But to play like they did in the 1st half ( 6-8 down ), and then to come out and smash Worky to bits in the 2nd ( 42 - 10 ) just doesn't make sense to me. Yes, I know it happens in sport, and that teams do tire once the opposition get going. But yesterday they just looked like a team that couldn't be ara$$ed in the 1st, and that said "look what we can really do when we want" in the 2nd.
I know there'll be plenty of supporters joyful at the result, but it doesn't change anything for me. There's something not right in the camp, and whatever it might be needs identifying and eradicating quickly IMHO.
Oh, and the sun must have got to a few yesterday, coming out with insane comments such as "Oscar Thomas isn't a bad player after all" LOL

| Feels good to be speaking about a win. But against anyone in the top 8 we’d be sunk at half time.
Second half we played really well. Thought Lawford had a good game.

| Sounds like there were some positives in terms of Lawford. Let’s just hope Patton escapes a ban

| There were a couple of things that seemed strange on the pitch in second half. First Patton seemed to be b0ll0cking Lawford after we'd just scored (which to be fair looked different on the highlights) then the try after Flanagan grabbed Patton and was talking to him back to the kicking tee then he ran across to Lawford and talked to him.
After that it got really weird. If it wasn't quite champagne stuff it was certainly better than english sparkling wine. They looked like they were enjoying playing the game for the first time in months.

| Looking at the highlights I thought Patton was just trying to help Lawford and give him some direction which in my mind was great to see. Deffo not a bo**ocking.

I thought that as well, he seemed to handing on advice to the kid and fair play to Patton for it.

7 games out for Patton; and that stretches into next season too I think. So we may be seeing a lot more of this lad in the hammerings to come.

I knew he’d be getting banned hence the laugh haha. I’m not bothered if we lose as long as the spine from Monday is Flanagan Jr at Fullback, Lawford and Camden in the halves and Doyle/Flanagan Sr at 9. Let’s just blood the young lads now.

| Well looks like we've no choice but to put the kids in. Shame Patton put us in this position where they get thrown in at the deep end all together. It would've been better to bring them in gradually so they don't get smashed.

Agreed. Hopefully a trial by fire against York. If they can nab a win against Whitehaven it will give them tons of confidence!

| I'll go out on a limb and say that we'll go into the York match with Lawford and someone like Elliot Kear or Aaron Murphy in the halves.
I don't think Dunning likes the whole 'throw the kids in' philosophy - judging by how Flanagan disappeared into the ether after he made a couple of errors

Throwing kids in isn’t great for development they need easing in too many times we trow them in and it kills development

I agree that's what Dunning will do, although I think it could make it harder for Lawford as we saw how much Patton struggled with Kear at FB.
