| Hard at it today so couldn't make the trip. Will view the match on Centurions TV on (probably) Tuesday. For now, well done to your boys.

| Great result. Shows what a difference it makes having a half on the field.

Thought your 'non half', Wildie, had a very good game. He's done that to us at Fev too, when pressed into service at half back.

| Again I thought it was our defence that won us the game. We started slowly and seemed a bit mesmerised whenever Higham had the ball. Thankfully once we got some decent field position we took our chances, something we'd not been great at recently. Lovely play from Milnes to put Webster through a gap and his kick for Storton to score was really well worked.
I thought Leigh looker slicker in attack but they couldn't seem to make it pay off. As things got a bit frustrating with the number of penalties given Leigh seemed to lose composure. Pownall's sin binning was pretty typical of him. He was sinbinned for gobbing off at Halifax earlier in the season and he did it again here. Them losing Hood into the sin bin also helped us a lot too.
As for our second half I thought there were a couple of pivotal moments. Ryan's try in the corner from dummy half being one and the cover tackle from Evans and Gibson to keep Marsh out being the other. We seemed to kick on from there and it was our defence that forced the errors for the Wildie and Evans long range tries. DFJ would've had one too but for an ankle tap.
Thought the pack was immense. Webster really adds some leadership and toughness too. We struggled a bit in attack at times but it was yet another halfback pairing. When we get a settled combination I'm very optimistic about getting int the top 5.

| A good win against good opposition, imo.
Hard to argue against much of what has already been said, though I think our defence was really the key for the final scoreline. Leigh probably started the 'final push' a bit early and were trying bit too much to push the pass when it just wasn't on. Who knew Wildie had so much pace? Despite the final score, overall it was a good tight game and we maybe had a bit of good fortune to be given those late chances but we were good enough to take them.

| The way we kept our composure when the handbags came out impressed me. In games like this in the past we’ve got too caught up in that and gone away from the gameplan. The young lads are maturing nicely in this respect. Perhaps we learnt some lessons from the Sheffield match?

| Leigh were terrible 'with the ball' 2nd half and wouldn't have scored for another hour after the final hooter....even if the Bradford Bulls players had left the field !

| It was certainly a good day to play Leigh, who were well out of sorts. The sin binings didn't help their cause either. We probably got the rub of the green this time, but it was good to see us ruthlessly exploit it.
Imaginative team selection was a good sign and it all worked. It's a very competitive league and this was an important win.
Ps not sure if "binings" is an actual word. Apologies if not :

| I’m not 100% sure but I’d say he’s not been making the yards on the kick returns lately. He’s also had a habit of running a bit too sideways when he’s come into the line, albeit he seemed to run a lot straighter at Widnes and it created a try.
Overall I thought the selection of Ryan there was vindicated. The only doubt I had was when DFJ was tackled short a couple of times in the corner when Ryan would’ve probably have scored with his ability to dive in.
I guess we’ll see how this pans out from here.

Yeah it's a catch 22. Ryan was excellent at FB but then we missed his finishing out wide. Might be worth seeing how Alix Stephenson goes against Keighley?
From Kears interview it sounds like Pickersgill has been dropped and Kear is demanding an improvement. He's been disappointing has Pickersgill, he's had an opportunity to make the FB his own but he's been poor. Taken some good high bombs but his positioning has been awful. Looks low on confidence (see his error against Widnes last week with no one near him) a few run outs in the reserves might do him good to get some confidence and focus back.

| I don't think Pickers has been 'bad' as such, but he's definitely been better and, for my money, he has the ability in him but the coach really has two basic choices; does he leave him in the side and hope he works through it or does he change things around a bit.
FWIW, I've long felt Ethan would make a good fullback. He's got all the attributes, excellent tackler, good, and confident under the high ball, got pace, and knows where the line is (and how to get over it) and he's also got excellent hands, so can join the line in any position. To be right we're not short of decent wingers so we won't be lost in that department, though obviously he was pretty much the first on the teamsheet in that position if he actually adds more to the team at the back then so be it.

| I think the problem is that Pickersgill still needs another year or so as an understudy to an experienced full back. For my money, I don't think he's got the reading of the game right just yet

| Well nobody can say that Foggin hasn't taken his chances. I for one was sceptical with the signing but I hope that he continues to play well and prove those that had/have the previous opinion of myself quite wrong.
