| League express says certain candidates pulled out last week and Bulls turned to Kear, hence the delay.

| Putting my money down now. Negotiations with John Kear will fall through when he realises they're suggesting to pay him in Bulls scratch cards. They'll then appoint Jon Sharp.

| Well Kear is a surprise (if it comes off).thought he was more than happy at Wakey. But maybe wants to get into head coaching again.

| The question for me is why did other candidates pull out?

| Its like Christmas 2016 all over again - but instead of rumours and last minute "pull-outs" by wannabe buyers its not the same farce with the coach.
Next thing you know the RFL will step in to "help" and we'll end up with a southern hemisphere ex-player out of nowhere; but he can only accept the job if he passes certain RFL criteria - but they havent decided what criteria yet - they'll leave that until we've started playing.
The club should change its name to Bradford Farce.
THat aside - I'd be happy with Kear - but I fully expect it to be a different John Kear from the land of Oz

| It's nothing like xmas 2016. bulls for whatever reason have approached a proven coach most people seem delighted to have got. Some people just like to moan FFS

| I would be delighted if we'd got Kear, absolutely amazed in fact
It certainly would be interested to learn why other people 'pulled out' though. What did they find out? Lack of money for signings? Changes in ownership? Future restructuring?
All seems a bit odd - but then this is the Bradford Bulls after all

| Kear as Director of Rugby (or whatever) always seemed a strange fit for him at Wakefield to me. He seems to relish the hands on part of coaching and whenever you see him on Sky he looks to be itching to get more involved but can't because Chester is "the main man" Perhaps he just wants to be more involved and fancies one last challenge. Would be happy with Kear.

| I'd certainly be happy with Kear but I'm very cautious of getting too excited. It could very easily come to nothing.

Exactly where I am. If it turns out to be true, it's an excellent choice. But we've had far too many years of getting hopes up over Christmas presents and then getting a lump of coal.

Coal? You were lucky. In my house we got a kick in the knackers.

Now that explains a few things about you!
I think Kear realised he'd lost his motivation mojo at the RLWC due to him not having the hands on Coaching he was used to! So perhaps he's looking to rediscover it while taking the Bulls upwards in terms of promotion for the next couple of seasons!
If it comes down to a choice between Baloo and Norris I'd go for Norris as he has the necessary to take us upwards!

| Damn! I hope this rumour is wrong. If it turns out to be correct then, if I indulged in gambling, I would put a shilling on you lot being promoted next year. Bugger!
