To be fair to Morrison or Kear they have done really well with the budgets that they probably have had to work to. I still think the appointment has to be who the players will recognise (z if it makes it easier) immediately as a leader and who holds a CV that speaks volumes. Its a massive job !

Henry Paul would make them look stupid. He has less experience than Smith and has no track record. Harrison or Anderson would be the best you can do at this stage.

We dave woods says he's been told to expect jaw-droppingly good appointment and the new coach has proven track record as a coach. Henry Paul would go massively against the statement released just hours a go.

Is a top coach really our top priority?
Right now you could bring in Wayne Bennett and it wouldn't help because we don't even have enough players to raise a 17!

Thy are talking about a full time squad if I read this correctly from SKY:

"And Lowe added: "We do not see this as a quick fix and we will work through the immediate issue of offering full-time playing contracts to the team."

I read the team as everyone - not just the playing squad. If this is correct then they must have more finance than people are guessing. They are also offering tickets to ST holders which is probably worth £200k+

Shame about Rohan but we need a strong coach now. Lets all prey that the academy is kept even if it means prices are kept high so that money can be ring fenced for the youngsters and the coaches.

What do people think regarding Chev Walker. Should he stay - along with a few others.

Not necessarily a top, well known coach - rather a very good coach for our circumstances.
I have been working for 40 years and firmly believe that a good manager makes everyone else perform to their best. Not by shouting and threatening but by clear and firm management.
It all feeds down and they set the standards.

Like many things in life Bongster once the initial shock wares off people see things a little differently.
I still think Rohan was a good choice back in May but right now I would go with an experienced coach. I don't think that is changing my tune. Just changing my opinion as the situation has changed. The Fev game did that and the rest is history.

While were at it lets get Henry back at 6.

Just seen the tweet, Dave Woods has also been told the new coach has a proven track record. Sounds like someone was already lined up...wonder how long it takes to fly back from Toronto??
