I'd have taken Marc Green's statement on board more readily if there'd been even a smidgeon of humility.
No recognition of mistakes made, bad signing policy, keeping Lowes as coach for too long, players not performing to their undoubted ability - and so on...
Yes, the abuse and mistruths are all wrong - but once again we have a statement that places the onus right back onto the long-suffering (and diminishing) supporters.

Why was it a bad signing policy. As individuals the players aren't bad they just don't work as a team. |

Well, I was rather working on the understanding that we sign players to fit into a team...
If we sign players that aren't going to fit in to what we need as a team, then it kinda fits with the description of 'bad signing policy' |

Slightly more, but not much, plus match terms. As for the rumour of £5000 bonus for winning on Sunday, I would very much doubt it, but I suppose one never knows. No-one at the club has ever publicly made a statement regarding bonuses either recently or throughout the season. Not sure where that kind of money would come from. What the club do benefit from is an extremely successful independent group who raise money for signings, and an extremely successful scheme for supporters where they raise money that contributes directly to pay player's salaries.
What is without a doubt, our budget was significantly less than yours! |
