| If you wanted a team with desire, enthusiasm, plan A & B and energy the Fev were that team. We were shot away after the first 5 mins, this has been coming for weeks most people have seen it, radio commentators, and fans alike in fact everybody except JL and the team.
I have to agree with a few other posts why do we have a big squad with a lot of players out on loan if we are not going to use them and bring them on. a few comments from the coaching staff "training hard each week" well this training has not been transferred to the pitch when it matters. In the T&A "We're ready for you" LOL but it's not really a laughing matter.
Last nights performance could have a bigger impact on the next 3-4 games if we don't rest players and give a few a kick up the backside.

| Worst performance we put in for years without a doubt. Players missing doesn't excuse the dropped passes and abject defending. Was all one man rugby. Tbh for most of game we looked like a bunch of players who'd never played together before. Henry and shaw were like a revolving door and addy made a mistake virtually everytime he touched ball.
Need mullaney and Gaskell back asap and if we are planning on bringing someone in then it needs to happen sharpish. Surely some of fringe players deserve a shot, they can't be any worse than what we saw last night.
Bit of credit to Purtell for putting his hand up to play in conditions very similar to those that lead up to his heart problems.

He was no less petulant as a player of course. His dummy spit when Chris Joynt merely fell over during some big game or other was legendary.
I think I might start a new Chris Joynt thread. I don't feel we got to the bottom of it.

| If it wasn't "our Jimmy" what sort of pressure would he now be under. We would all be asking for his head.
He constantly says it was one bad game. No Jimmy, we have seen many bad games and and more enthusiastic teams who won't even get into the middle eights.
Has Jimmy lost the dressing room? It is a question that is starting to be thought about

| Although this is the culmination of a run of gradually worse performances, and as poor as we were last night, it IS only one game. Lets hope this is the kick up the ar$e that we need, much in the same way that Broncos beating them loud 'uns from the other side of the hills did the other week.
Having said that, Jimmy has stated he isn't going to change a winning team in the past, so lets hope that this defeat means that some fringe players actually get to step up to the plate if for nothing more than to give some (AOB, Sidlow, Clough) a breather before the big show starts.

| In retrospect this has been coming.
For a few weeks now we've been putting in spells good enough to win games, all be it in the middle of a fair bit of dross, and some abysmal defence. Up to last night we've had enough passes sticking to allow us to put in four or five tries in a spell, which has tended to demoralise opponents and allowed us to dominate games, but last night we couldn't catch a cold and paid for it. To make it worse, from our POV, our dropped passes and missed tackles clearly energised Featherstone and left us looking a rabble.
I'm disappointed that Jimmy, apparently, still can't see a problem. Look, I know what he tells the players, both one to one and in the dressing room, isn't necessarily what he tells the press conference but we seem to be bearing the fruits of the 'not using the squad' policy, otherwise why would we use forwards in the halves. the sooner we get Gaskell and Mullaney back the better imo.
To finish on a positive, I thought Tom Olbison ran his blood to water.

For me this is the single greatest cause for concern.
I can handle not playing all that well, losing a game etc but dear god not another coach who inexplicably insists it's all good. Jimmy Lowmingsnamara. If he'd said "That's been coming, we've been playing off the pace for one or two weeks, but we need to regroup blah blah blah" then at least we'd know he has self-awareness.

| Does Danny Addy need to go for the good of the team? He seems to have special powers to mesmerise all coaches - 'Don't need a replacement scrum half, we've got Addy', 'Don't need a spare hooker, we've got Addy', 'Don't need an extra stand off, we've got Addy'. I've nothing against him as a player, it's this mind control that gets in the way. Whilst he is Addyquate at a number of positions that's just not good and nobody else has a chance to get game minutes in a specialised role.

Indeed. What makes me worry is that I'm not a pro, I'm a full time amateur and I can only see the flamin' obvious at the best of times so for a pro like Jimmy to say he can't even see it........
Fair enough. It may be that my 'problem', in his eyes, isn't as important as I feel it is, but surely he can see it exists?

All alone by an electricity sub station and surrounded by bears he's shot and killed.
