| Quote: hi de hi "For me the future now lies with a supporter run club in CC1. We have enough support to get behind such a venture. It can not be that expensive to fund if Hemel Stags and Northampton can get in. I would be willing to put more cash up for this if it means we can get rid of the scumbags responsible for the downfall of a great club.'"
The AFC Wimbledon of Rugby League - nice idea but won't happen!

| Quote: bewareshadows "What would be the chances of the fans buying the club post liquidation. I know it would have been better before they forked over £500k. But once liquidated, surely it's down to the best bid for the creditors, bar melting down the stands for scrap.
If the fans could pull enough money to pay the skeleton of the staff to the end of the season and pay the creditors the bare minimum, the fans could own the club, through a trust. Yes it's not alot of time, but how much would be needed for this?'"
Once a liquidator is appointed, there is no club. Or staff. Or assets other than ones to be sold to the highest bidder regardless.
No-one has to pay the creditors anything regardless.
There was no way the fans could do anything before administration, since the majority shareholders called all the shots. And once in administration, there was always going to be far too little time to do anything - I think most people do not realise just what legalities and other issues would be involved in the fans making a pitch for a club on this scale, and the timeframes for doing it.
But that presupposes that a white (red?) knight won't miraculously ride in, after a suitable interval, now the remaining impediments are being swept away.

Fair enough, I did wonder whether the fans could cause a steal from Caisley with a minimum payment and some gesture of future repayments to the creditors, by the end of the season.
But if it's going to be a last minute rescue then I guess the fans would not even get a look in.

Why not? Plenty of other supporter groups have done it? FC United of Manchester, AFC Wimbledon as you said. I am convinced a new club could be formed with the help of a supporters group. What is the alternative if nothing happens by Friday?
I'm not talking about saving the club as it stands, but creating a new entity by the people who matter, the fans.

Well said that man, Rochdale has a fans run club in Championship one , that`s the time when you find out who real fans are, most people on here don`t seem to care whose running Bradford they`d even take CC back as long as you stay in Super League.

| This is a golden opportunity to build a brand new club run on proper sustainable lines inheriting a good supporter base from the existing club. Leave the scum who have destroyed our club to the skeleton of what's left over. We do not want or need them. i'd rather have a few years in the Championships and build a 'decent' club than continue with you know who.
We the fans can do this if we really want to.
Do we really want our club run by these people?

| The meeting could end up being just like the pledge. A good idea, just held too soon.
Need to let the dust settle first otherwise people will be disenchanted at the apparent lack of practical options

| Potter has said on an interview to be shown on calendar tonight that he may attend the fans meeting.
Good luck to all at Bradford. This is a terrible state of affairs and I really feel for you fans as I know how I would feel if it happened to my beloved Rhinos

| Incidentally, we now see what the 'change of circumstances' was that forced to meeting to have to change venue....
No staff to operate the Coral Stand

| Sadly the existing club is dead, there is nothing that can be done to save it unless someone wants to throw cash at the problem.
A new Bradford can easily be formed, there are enough fans with right financial acumen. It will be bloody hard work but it can be done, on a smaller scale I did something similar, as part of a dedicated team at Fax.....twice!!
The key question is who will the RFL allow to run a new club, play at the stadium and see out the season. Who ever they back wins.
Once the RFL have chosen then the next question is can a plan be produced that will secure the licence or will the team drop in to the championship. Either could happen, and keeping licence would be tough, and perhaps inappropriate, but there will be a future. Start building now

Inevitable I'm afraid, and one of the reasons I decided not to go. The Guidepost was always going to be far too small for a meeting like this

| I was in the room but left, it was stifling hot, no microphone by the point i left and tbh if there was a fire a lot of people would have been in danger of death. People arguing upstairs about why they couldn't go downstairs and why a bigger place hadn't been booked.
The administrator had just started talking but people were shouting at him to talk louder, at that point i decided to go.
Hopefully it'll get better but with that many people there, it being hot and a lot of frustration it's going to be difficult to keep it nice and civilised.
