Can't see any way to avoid it with that squad. Joseph pretty much has to play either or were too light on forwards. Guess walker taking bench 2nd row spot. Can't see Jeffries playoing unless one off gale/sammut pulls up before game. Didn't Joseph use to play loose? Is it worth trying him there and moving Langley into 2nd row or has phil bilked up too much?
Not sure which of platt/Sykes I'd go with for the spot. Guess whichevers looked stronger defensively in training.
Suppose another option is to have diskin and Heath both do 80 covering loose and hooker between them. Just use Sykes/platt off bench to cover walker moving into 2nd row for a while rather to allow rotation.

| I'd move Hargreaves into the 2nd row and have Joesph and Walker on the bench as subs. Platt over Sykes in the centres.

Tend to agree with first bit. Not so sure about platt ahead of Sykes. Memory of platt waving cas players past him on boxing day is still fresh

That would probably be my choice. Lulia will more than likely play left centre once Purtell is fit so I'd rather let him strike up a partnership with Crookes sooner rather than later. I've gone for Sykes in the Platt v Sykes argument based on pre season performances. Not an ideal situation but the curse on our 2nd row has forced our hand.
The other wildcard Potter might play is to slot Sammut in at centre and bring BJ into the side. It would be a risky move though with Sammut and Gale looking to form a decent partnership last week.

2. Kear
3. Platt
4. Lulia
5. Crookes
6. Sammut
7. Gale
8. Scruton
9. Diskin
10. Kopczak
11.Whitehead
12. Langley ( My only worry is he'snot mobile enough)
13. Joseph
14. L'estrange
15. Hargreaves
16. Walker
17. Burgess
I'm sure Joseph was a loose forward for in the championship. I was thinking of taking a punt of playing Diskin at 13 and L'estrange and 9, purely to have your two best players on for as long as possible. I don't think it's a bad looking squad, considering we have quite a few injuries. It be interesting to see what side other teams could put out with 6 first teamers missing

| Seems a bit strange that addy didn't get in squad. He isn't injured cos he played last night. Would at least give us another forward option

| Despite what the Bulls website reported, I thought Addy had a pretty ordinary game last night.

| I suppose we have to trust that Potter sees all the players in training every day
On the face of it, theres no reason why Platt and Sykes would be in the squad when people like Addy and Ainscough don't seem to be getting a shot.
But, as I say, we don't see them in training....

| I too would have had Addy in the 17 before Platt or Sykes.
