| I didn't leave early but didn't clap the players off the park and left as the hooter sounded. People can do as they please.
I didn't agree with cheering Sykes substitution either.

Never liked Kevin Costner, or any other Robbing Hood!!!!: |
|
| I stayed to the end but didnt want to.
Interesting that this thread was strted by someone not at the game, and then more people who either werent there or left early, commenting on why we might stay or go.
I will not criticise anyone for booing, leaving, stying silent, clapping etc... we all paid our money and that gives us the right to do what we like, within accepted legal boundries.
I stayed, but was vocal in my criticism of the team.
Warrington never had to get out of second gear, as we gifted them 7 tries from errors that I dont expect to see in a kids game on a Sunday morning. Players not getting kicks away on the last tackle, kicking the ball out on the full from a kick off etc...
To say Warrington were brilliant isnt true, as in the second half thier error count was huge, its just that they were 32 points up and could throw the ball around.
there are many threads on here debating the rights and wrongs of the club/coach/ players.
To say our players lack effort is in my opinion, not true. They lack the ability to read a game, and play dumb rugby too often. Warrington dont have players that are that much quicker in a straight line than ours, but the way they linked play through 3 or four pairs of hands to get it to the wing shows that mentally (in terms of playing intelligence) and technically they are better than us.
Sykes and Herbert seem to be taking the brunt of criticism and that is a reflection of what fans see, and in Sykes' case have seen for years. Between them, errors they made contributed to the majority of Warrington's tries. It is my opinon that fans would be more encouraged and encouraging if yoth was given a chance, even if the end result was the same. We have two young halves in Briggs and Southernwood who could fill in in their natural positions, and who will improve. It didnt do us any harm in 98 when we threw Deacon, Pryce and Fielden in did it?? we collectively got over 20 years out of them and lots of medals, rings, and caps.

| I left with 17 minutes to go. I stuck it out that long because inexplicably my 4 and 1 year old daughters were enjoying it.
I'm no longer going to pretend that the £60 season ticket is a good deal. Its probably about right for what we are being served up.

I left at the end but I was with my 5yr old nieces who seemed to love their first game of rugby but that seemed to be down to the music, running up the steps at the end??, the bullettes and the fact it was a day out. We down the front between the 10 and 20m lines on the rooley lane end, popular side and didn't once see Bullman or Bullboy (might have missed it during trip to the loo) though. Glad they enjoyed it but was nothing to do with the rugby

| Haven't read the thread and with the title of it, I don't intend to.
Just scanned to get a gist of it. Sufficed to say I stayed until the hooter, as I have never yet left a game early. However I don't blame people who did leave as many will have had perfectly valid reasons. I find it hilarious that fans of other clubs have this holier than thou attitude where they actually do believe that none of their own fans ever leave early. I can only assume they're so engrossed in the match that they don't notice. The biggest I personally can remember was the game at Saints when Paul Sculthorpe was lining up a touchline kick which would decide the match, right at the end. As I was slumped over a barrier in the away end struggling to cope with the tension, I noticed a number of Saints fans leaving. I was amazed that you could leave when the game was still so much in the balance. But at the end of the day, they've paid their money and it's up to them when they go.
As far as booing the team off, I won't ever do that either. But again, I'm not going to sit here and slate those who do. Everyone has their own way of expressing their feelings. Although I won't boo my side, I also don't feel there's an obligation to stand there and clap them off after performances that I can only describe as pathetic. So I chose to leave the second the final hooter went, and I did. When they deserve to be applauded off, I'll stay and applaud them, as I do 95% of the time. If I HAD stayed in this game, it would have been to applaud off the Wire side.
The only thing I do find a little dismaying was people cheering that Sykes was injured. While there may have been plenty of us hoping he'd be taken off, I didn't think there'd be so many people happy about the way it happened. Although I'm sure the cheering was more because he was going off rather than him being hurt, the actual sound of it to me was quite disrespectful in a sport and a stadium that is normally quite the opposite. There were plenty of people on here (me included) quick to condemn a certain member for wishing injury on a Leeds player (and apologies for bringing that up, as it's water under the bridge as far as I'm concerned), but there seems to be a lot of people who thought it was fine to cheer Sykes going down hurt. Slightly hypocritical I feel (and that isn't aimed at anyone specific as I haven't actually read the comments closely enough and who has made them, just a general opinion of what I witnessed on Sunday).

Not wise. Never do anything to indicate to a man wearing shorts 3 sizes too small for him that you are in any way aware of his existence.

Certainly not near me. People cheered as soon as it was apparent he was down and wasn't getting straight back up. He hadn't even had any attention yet, let alone gone off the field.

| I didn't hear any cheering. I heard the booing from the pop side after we conceded the third of our gift tries.
I didn't leave early but I did sit down about ten mins before half time. I stood up to watch Whitehead's try but that was it. I had my own laid back silent protest.

Pollsters doing Excellent job - say recent polls.: |
|
| My 5 yr old fell asleep at half time and woke at the hooter. He is probably the only Bulls fan who thinks we won. He asked and I said yes we did. He was very happy. Nothing bad has happened to be yet this week so I might have got away with it.

yep there were plenty stood behind me at top of pop side next to touchdown cheering when he picked up the injury and even yelling they hoped it was serious. Seriously out of order IMO. doesnt matter how poor you think a player is youd dont wish injury on them.
