I suggest you watch what he does or doesn't do before having to chase back and try and make a tackle. He also goes missing if we need someone to get us out our own half.

He's a wannabe Simon Haughton but plays more like Charles Hawtry.

Stuart shouldn't you be in bed with the press thing at 7am?
You wouldn't want to be all sleepy eyed.

It might sound harsh but I think Worrincy's problem is he is thick. He can't concentrate or read intentions & plays. I don't think it's lack of effort from what I have seen.

I don't think it's harsh if we say he's thick when it comes to rugby, and it's something I've said before. In fact, I said it at the last home game after he ran the ball in on the last tackle, not realising it was, then after standing up and looking at the referee in the Bulls defensive line, tried to play the ball instead of handing it over. He just looked completely lost and didn't know what was going on.
He doesn't seem to grasp certain aspects and it doesn't look like he ever will.
I for one haven't and never will question his effort. He clearly puts that in. I can see why people think his efforts are lazy, but I don't think they are, I think it's more just he doesn't realise that just using your arms in a tackle won't do the job. I've said it before and I'll say it again, he has no rugby brain at all. I don't know how intelligent he is away from a rugby field, but he's definitely stupid on it.

| Being thick isn't an excuse for hiding out on the flanks whilst other players try to get us out our own half though is it?

I concur wholeheartedly.
"Thick", is a perfect summary.

He probably thinks that's the position he's meant to be in!
I know what you're saying and he has been guilty of that in a couple of games, but that's usually when he's having one of his nightmare games (like Wire away) and probably rightly wants to stay away as much as possible because he'll only fluff it again.
Either that or he's stood there trying to watch his teammates so he has some sort of idea what he's supposed to do. Although he'd be better off watching the opposition this year....

| A particular play summed him up for me. I think it was against Wire on the televised Saturday game. He made a tackle & stood at the PTB pointing to his left, in a Paul Anderson stylee, Higham ran from PTB to Worrincy's right, who just stood there bemused as Wire went the full length to score.

To be fair to Worrincy, every Bradford player for the last 8 years or so seems to stand there while Higham runs past them from dummy half. I hate us playing against him as he ALWAYS rips us apart, regardless of who he's playing for at the time.

Just think we signed Higham for about 45 minutes and then swapped him for Terry Newton

Serves us right for signing him and not letting him play. Maybe we should have kept him instead of doing the swap for Tezza?

At the time, we seemed to be getting the best deal out of that.
Benefit of hindsight eh?
