He is a top prospect.

| Halley's try was a great piece of rugby, and an immense step by Halley.
Sheriffe to replace Reardon for me next week.

| I think we let Leeds back into the game by gifting them field position from silly penalties. Cut those out and we are home free. I still believe we haven't seen the best from the new new half back pairing and from Kearney at Full back so I'm quite pleased.
Credit where credit is due Leeds were excellent in the last twenty and i think in the end a draw (as gutting as it feels right now) was a fair result.
It was the best performance after the second half against Wigan in fact I'd rate it higher as we did it for 80 mins - the defence at times against sustained pressure was good. Plus we've moved up one place in the table (for the next few hours at least) and kept Leeds out of the top eight. So a draw is better for us than it is for them.
Well played lads.

| Unbeliavable game tonight, the ref was awful tonight and brought them back them into the game but we were turning the ball over far too easily but from 1-17 the whole team played well tonight but Reardon dropped a couple of clangers, Well done tonight but we chucked the game away with very silly offloads.

I watched it on Sky tonight (god I wish I was there) and TBH I thought he did alright. One or two wrong decisions (including the Donaldson dropped ball which looked like a ball steal to me and the Reardon Knock on where Smith actually knocked it back) but I think most of the penalties that let Leeds back into it were correct.
Easy to cut those out though.

| Reardon does need to be dropped. Macca is finally getting there with the positions, Kearney to fullback, Halley to the wing finally, the only thing left to do is drop Reardon and put Sheriffe outside of Nero.

Don't think he played for the last 30 mins or so, class act in the making though.

| Don't be too downhearted Bulls fans. Your defence was awesome at times and if it wasn't for some indivdual brilliance you would of won that game. You should blame it on Kearney running it on the last 2 mins to go...
Only joking. Good effort bulls not many teams will leave Headingly unbeaten.

| Lynch and Scrutes immense tonight!! Two Leeds tries off what looked to be dodgy decisions; missed conversions cost us. Nero's best game this season. Halley responded well after last week. Reardon looking the weak link at the moment. Orford ran the show in the first half. Beaver great again - some key tackles. Why did Kearney run the ball on the last in front of their sticks just before the end??? But Kearney to stay at 1 for good, and Skyes pretty good at 6 again - damage was done really when he was off with the pixies. Near faultless first half. Amazing defence and some impressive ball handling. Point lost, but I'd have taken the point before the game so its a bonus point anyway for mine. What a fantastic hell of a game!

| We can all nitpick about somethings but lets face it thats the best game we've seen for a long time and even for the neutrals it was a classic. Heath L'estrange was awesome tonight!

L'Estrange, Orford, Lynch, Scruton, Whitehead, Menzies, Sykes, Langley, Nero & Halley were all great.
When our pack dominates, Orford is just supreme.

| Well, another sterling effort, and a game that we certainly deserved to win, and should have won.
Not many complaints, but some of them are critical.
1. The penalty against us for passing "after the tackle". Bloody ludicrous! Even if he had called "held" (and I just watched the vid and he did not) - WHY call held almost an instant only after being touched, and when clearly, to anyone, he is NOT held, and is struggling to get the ball away? A game-turner as we could easily have scored in the next tackle or two.
2. The Halley "No try". As most will know, I reckon our VRs are just there for comedic effect but really - a dropout??? On what possible basis? No sane person could ever coinclude that the Leeds player grounded the ball, and the only grounding that took place was by Halley's chest when he ended up lying on the ball. Which is, of course, a blatant try. And even if not blatant in your opinion - why is it that the Bulls never, ever, get a 'benefit of the doubt'?
3. Orford's attempts to kick goals. At least, I think that's what they were. For a man with a bit of a kicking pedigree, he is utter gash. Not even kicks under the posts are convincing. He doesn't even threaten the posts. We need to sack him off that job post haste. And of course it cost us the match.
4. The crass drop-out decision. At the very least it was debatable who put the ball out, and WTF did not the ref just ask the VR for confirmation of the correct re-start - as we see so often, and so wisely? Instead, we end up with a decision which is blatantly and amateurishly wrong, compounded by a pig-headed decision not to get the help available, and which would have taken 2 seconds. And again, it ultimately ended up costing us.
5. Reardon, it seems, is pathologically terrified of his touchline. I have lost count of how many tries have been let in, in the 25 metre gap that he leaves. He's not in general playing that badly, but he's an utter liability coming in off his wing like he does. And every team knows he does it, hence the kicks into space and hence the lomg passes out wide. Again, it ultimately cost us.
6. Having worked a decent position for a DG - WTF were we doing? Ended up very funny with Lynch's abortion almost sliding over but really - again we had the matchwinning chance almost on a plate right there and screwed it up.
So much for the complaints. Overall, though, what a massive showing from the team. orford just gets better and better. Langley, Lynch and Scruton are monsters. Whitehead is coming on leaps and bounds. And Menzies - well - what else is left to say? Plus L'Estrange is rapidly making a big reputation for himself. And NEro suddenly and inexplicably right back to form. The first half especially was top notch - and with a kicker, and without bizarre refereeing, we'd have been home and hosed. For much of the second half we were chasing shadows as a long sequence of decisions went Leeds way and we had about a billion consecutive tackles. Still we stuck at it, and almost won it. Not perfect, but an excellent and entertaining game, and a point which the doom-mongers never believed we could get.

Wouldn't argue with any of that. Can't wait for monday vs Crusaders. What a shame when we're playing like that we have to go to France soon. It's not on sky is it? I want to watch Orford rip more teams apart.
