Absolutely. We have the same 6 players at least... just not in the same order  We'll have to revisit this when we know more.
Raynors wide of the mark I agree. Reardon is just an interesting option but I've not heard it from any reliable source. I just reckon if Walker signs he'll play wing, only my guess though. |

We know this, McNamara must know this too, Kearney can and has played both so I see the logic pointing more to him being signed as a 6, as a direct replacement for Jefferies. Just my guess though from what I've read and heard. We'll have to wait a while to find out I suppose. And on current form I'd be happy with Sykes at 6, but can he maintain it?
Either way, my point from another post was that if the signings are as rumoured (which is still a big if) then Kearney, Walker, Sykes, Platt, Halley can all play more than one position and will do as form and injury dictate - we're just discussing where they might start, but who at the start of this season would have predicted we'd be going into our most important game of the season with Platt as a good safe option in the Centre? Not me for one. So you never know.'"

certain other people think their 'opinion' is gospel and must be listened to
slthough personally I wonder if were thinking of using kearney at 7 given sykes good form at 6 and deacs poor first half of season. suspect in reality we'll see the 3 of them fighting it out for the 2 half spots and the form pair playing. |

Halfbacks next season then are from Sykes, Kearney and Deacon.
Centres from Sykes, Nero, Crookes and Walker.
I can see a lot depending on how Kearney performs. Hope he's over his injury troubles. We need a quality playmaker for 2010 without a doubt.
As for Walker, I read that he's a reformed character these days, hope that's the case. The stories linking him to us didn't make him sound too enthusiastic though. As someone said he may have visa troubles yet too. |

I guess we'll see then.
If Kearney is fit then he'll certainly improve the team but whether hell do that most as a No6 or a No1 I'm not sure. At least we'll have some more options though.
Any halfbacks in the academy likely to get a run next season for the odd game or is it too early?
I was wondering if we might see the likes of Lilycrop or the twins in the occasional first team game in 2010 too? |
