If they're average in the NRL they'll rip it up over here.

I'm not getting excited, nowhere near, but I still think he's an improvement on BJ or Sykes and will add more competition. Having seen L'Estrange play he's the signing i'm most looking forward to although that could quickly change if we signed Millard.

hall and l'estrange are not the best players in the world, and will not be worldies. L'estrange will probs be better than newton, and hall is not a fancy player, but will give us some good go forward. Kearney though if he stays fit will be a very good player for us indeed, especially if he plays at FB and we sign a half from the super league.
At his best Kearney was very impressive in the NRL if he can rekindle some of that form I think you will be pleasantly suprised.

Keareny isn't even as good as BJ or Sykes, he's really average. As for Heath, why get excited about him? he's a run of the mill back up.
None of this seasons recruitment excite me, one bit.

And you think Sykes is above average?

You'll see. You carry on getting excited about a mediocre walking injury, you're gonna be very dissapointed, I tell you.
You keep clapping at these average journey men when they are announced.

Not really, but neither is Kearney, so why waste salary and quota on a no mark?

If he is injury free and can rekindle some of the form he has shown so far in his career then he will be a good signing, and will be better than BJ and sykes, and that is pretty hard to argue against.
I havent got excited at every signing such as Hall and L'estrange, but think they will be decent.
As for Kearney being a journey man, i dont know how u have worked that one out when he is only 25 and only played for 2 clubs in his career.

No it's not, he's only had good form for a bit of 2008, the rest of his career he's either been injured for large parts or just plain ordinary. Dont get me wrong, I am not a huge fan of either BJ or Paul Sykes, but Brett Kearney is neither an improvement or a adequate replacement on either of those, particularly BJ.
Again, HL and GH are ordinary players, and both are poor replacements for the men they are replacing, again, bpth are mediocre journeymen like Kearney, regardless of how many clubs theyve played for, all have been around for a long time and all have struggled for form for large parts of their careers.
And I thought franchising was to encourage clubs to avoid the signings of mediocre journeymen like Hall, Heath and Kearney.

Heath would have to do pretty bad to be worse than Newton this year, and as we are signing Hall to play prop, who exactly is he supposed to be replacing?

You are starting to sound like someone who does not really want us to succeed here? Like one or two others we have seen around these parts from time to time. Surely some mistake...?
