| rlJohn Kear on Wakefield's loss to Huddersfieldrl
There can't be any excuses. There were 17 full-time professionals out there. It's time for man in the mirror. Something has got to be done to shake things up.
Compare that to McNamara's babblings. To be honest, I'm really worried about taking a kicking off Wakey when they come to Odsal next week because if Kear says he's going to shake things up, there'll probably be some shaking happening at Belle Vue. Unlike at Odsal where it's more a case of "meh, we're getting paid win or lose. who cares what we do on the field"

Why? Wakefield have improved under Kear, where as we've gone backwards under McNamara.

They have barely improved at all, they do well until their spirit runs out then they as soon as their players come back from injury they begin to lose, he is no better a coach that McNamara and as i constantly say our problem is more than the coach, i am not a fan of his but the stadium, our lack of investments and FANS is a result of what happens on the pitch

| John Kear is the only coach who has won silverware for any team outside the "big 4" in the super league era.
He's a much superior coach to McNarama.

Contrary to what you may think ME, it wasn't an open offer for debate - public or otherwise.
If you wish to do so then I am more than happy to take your PM's and deal with this as adults.
If not, rlso be itrl- BP

| Well according to rlDave Halley in the T&Arl the Bulls were "firing on all cylinders at Salford but just couldn’t get those scores.”
It's garbage like this that is hacking fans off even more than the performances, surely the club can see that and should be making sure any interviews given show a bit more savvy, If that was firing on all cylinders they might as well give up.

Worrying like you say if that was firing on all cylinders. The reason we lost Dave is because our attack is one dimensional and slow. We have very few people running off the ball and when we do the pass in invariably a poor one or we throw it to the dummy runner. We needed Deacon/Jeffries/Newton to take control of the game.. but they never did. Salford were depressingly below average but took their chances and got some points on the board.

The `interviews` are poor. I don`t know if Dave Craven is actually going round to players and asking for quotes or whether the club is putting the lads up for the daily humiliation.
I wouldn`t want to prevent any player from exercising free speech so if they are being asked by the service crew then fine (though maybe they should think twice before answering),but if it`s a club initiative then Duffers (I assume it`s he) ought to think again because it`s a bad idea.
As for the Salford match, for mine they played quite strongly for much of the game, particularly in defence, and again, for my money they were the better side in most aspects of the game. They crossed the line half a dozen times but didn`t get the ball down every time due to a combination of good defence, bad luck and the odd poor decision (though Salford fans and the few on here who think McNamara is to blame for everything will probably disagree) from a TJ forty odd yards away.
It`s a game they should have won, but they ultimately didn`t deserve to win (though in truth neither did Salford), dropping far too much ball and one bad defensive error (after a great chase) which gave away six points in a tight game. Firing on all cylinders? I think not.

How dumb a remark is that?
"is incapable of understanding that actions speak louder than words!, FFS!
In what way is he "incapable" of understanding this?
Your remark doesn't actually [imean[/i anything, does it!?
If you are looking for the meaning of life and a universal theory of everything in quotes from sports managers, I think you're always going to be disapppointed. WTF do you expect?
Quote: mystic eddie "that this kind of comment is being made week in and week out'"
So HE can't say the same thing week in, week out, yet YOU can say the same thing, a hundred times a day, all year, 24/7.
Hardly seems fair.

Did you go? As our attack got over the Salford line at least 7 times, I'd say Halley's got a point? If our attack is "one dimensional and slow", how did that happen?
I also don't think Salford were "depressingly below average". They rode their luck, with all those missed chances by us, but deserve some credit because they played some good stuff too, and scored some useful tries.
