I'm beginning to wonder if Mullaney and Siejka are going to play any further part and who would they replace so late in the campaign. I think Lowes will have his 17 worked out by the time we play Leigh, Halifax and Sheffield again. It's hard to believe that a player of the calibre of Blythe will sit it out.'"
Good point maybe next year we will have a more balanced squad - swap a prop for a half back

| Well, I don't see the point of rotation for the sake of rotation. Yes, we've got a large squad, but the team are putting in consistent performances so I don't see an argument to make changes. Now, we do have the period coming up were we'll playing Batley, Featherstone and Hunslet within 7 days and for that week, I'd hope to see some rotation there just to help keep the team fresh. Also Siejka is due back in the next couple of weeks so that's another selection headache for Jimmy

mentions sjelka returning in next couple of weeks in t&a article. also says mullaney due to return in same timeframe so looks like both are part of jimmys plans. also mentions ferguson as one returning from injury so looks like he did have a knock rather than being rested last few weeks.
Dont have a problem with us playing our strongest squad but would seem sensible to give some of fringe players a run out against weaker opposition, even if only one or two of them each week, to give them match fitness and more importantly letting them gel within the team which they cant get playing at oxford.Davies and Tahroui could be included in prop rotation without much disruption I'd have thought. Is Davies injured again?, notice he didnt play for oxford last week.

| Absolutely superb afternoon was had by all. Well, except Doncaster. A nice sunny day, the bulls on fire, and Leigh losing. What more could we want? Great show from all the Bulls, Lauaki did a decent stint though he seems to eb getting bigger not smaller, but Purtell was magic, and O'Brien 0 despite the usual head-clatterings - was great as usual. Hope Gaskell's OK. The only blot on the landscape was a number of totally unnecessary cheap shots by some Doncaster grubs, which a weak referee didn't really get a grip of. No need at all. And it's not as if Donny were a dirty team, far from it, for the most part they tried hard but couldn't cope with us when we opened up into full Jimmy mode.

| That first half was so frustrating! The amount of dropped ball and wasted chances was ridiculous.
The second half was just mental. I can think of only one error we made in the entire 40 minutes, practically every pass stuck, and Doncaster were grasping at thin air most of the time. I think the high shots by Groat and others came from the frustration of nothing going their way.
Worrying knocks for Gaskell and Mellor, typically just after we send our other loose forward out on loan for a month. Hopefully Gaskell is ok for next week, he was basically a passenger today from the 20th minute onwards - which actually makes the final scoreline even more impressive.
Stand out performers for me were O' Brien, Purtell, Crossley, Williams and Olbison. Tom Olbison is one of the first names on the team sheet for me - solid defensively, runs great lines, has a decent amount of pace and can also offload. Oh, and he's home grown too
Still not seeing what Lauaki offers the side. He sat one Doncaster player on his booty, but other than that I can't see what he offers above Fleming and Tahraoui. Today would have been a perfect game to give Davies a run (if he's not injured).

| Lauaki had a good game I thought today he helps to attract multiple players to him.which causes space provided we get quick PTB second 40 was some of the best I've seen this year but hopefully we don't have anything. Serious bar Mellor but we have substabcial cover there

| Great win, especially as Leigh lost! Doncaster were offside more often that not, and nasty tacklers, and the ref seemed to be oblivious to it all! Hope Mellor and Gaskell OK. COYB!

| I thought we were well off the pace in the first half despite going in 18-6 up. After Gaskell hurt his arm we seemed to take time to adjust. The second 40 was much better and we dominated possession and seemed to be able to score almost at will. We'd be top if we'd managed to kick some of the conversions but the wind made them difficult.
Thought up front we dominated and our right side was very strong with Purtell causing a lot of headaches. With the conversions and some bombed tries we could have hit 90.
Thornton's got a heck of a job to do.

| What a second half performance. Men against boys at some points.
AOB, Pitts and Crossley were the stand outs for me. It's good to see an unchanged team get better and better each week. The 12 points dropped from missed conversions would have seen us go top.
Bring on the Rams!

| Great day for the Bulls. Pleasing to see the team rack up some points and really go for the jugular in the 2nd half. Still a fair few games to go before the split but hopefully now they're in sight it will really focus the side on the task ahead. Still have some quality players like Mullaney, Ferguson, Siejka and Blythe to bring in but on current form they aren't guaranteed a spot.
Massively disappointing to see young Mellor sustain what looks like a bad knee injury, he was really starting to look impressive.
I personally think Lauaki is making steady progress and did some decent stuff today. Unfortunately I think he is saddled with the 'wrecking ball' nickname given to him on his arrival when I'm not sure he ever been that much of a wrecking ball

| Once we got going we were so much better than Doncaster it was a bit scary, as someone said 'men against boys'. And the second half was absolute carnage... 54-0 over those 40 minutes
Listening to Jimmy in the post-match on Bulls TV he is obviously going to stick with his consistent selection policy whatever anyone else thinks, and - fair play - he is the guy in charge! But it looks like there'll need to be at least one change next week with Mellor looking like a long term casualty. The obvious like-for-like is Ferguson (Anyone know why he didn't play today?).
I wonder if Jimmy will stick to his 'why change a winning team?' when Siejka and Mullaney are fit?

| Steve Crossley's first try was really satisfying. Seeing him barge his way over with four men (including Groat the scrote) on his back.

Talking to one of your media guys after the game, he said he didn't know what planet he was on.
The view I had of the incident which led to him leaving the field, he's tapped/hit Groat on the shoulder, and Groat has swung round and hit him with his arm. I can't say for certain whether he's deliberately meant to hit him, but he connected pretty cleanly..

| An attendance of near as damn it 5000 against a side that brought a small but visible away following is really really good to see. Especially when you consider it was a higher attendance than a superleauge local derby played on the same day.
