| Cummins needs a quality assistant. One who can be the bad guy for him. I think Morrison would fit the bill. This is a man who tried to run off a torn thigh muscle. A man who played 80 minutes with a broken wrist AND was one of the top tacklers in that match. You try pulling the performance some players have been turning in recently for the Bulls and then have to explain yourself to him.

I must have gone back in time that's the same excuse everyone used to give McNamara. If a team is failing to deliver it is the HEAD Coach who is responsible not the assistants.

| Some fans are so fickle!!!
We would have to pay his contract off and then find someone else. Glenn Morrison? yeh right, because that's a much better option.
I remember seeing 'Potter Out' threads last year. Then the guy left as a legend and coach of the year.

| Radio Leeds mentioned Morrison as a possible replacement for Cummins - heard it on my way home
For my money that would just be plain silly. The guy has no more coaching experience than Cummins, in fact less - at least Cummins was well schooled at Leeds, and had a spell as Potter's assistant too.
Wouldn't mind Morrison as an assistant though

| What a ridiculous thread.
The problems we face are due to lack of depth in squad and backroom staff.
If you look at the teams that have beaten us in the league (Hull FC away, Saints home and away, Wigan home, Catalans away, Wire home and away, Hull KR away, Leeds at home, Widnes at home, Hudds magic weekend), realistically we are about where we should be.
Wouldn't have expected to win any of those matches given our financial situation and lack of ability to rotate the squad.
We were never in a position to compete with the top clubs this season. There's a few of the games from which we should have come away with more than we did (Widnes home/away, Hull KR away) but other games where we came away with more than we expected to (Leeds and Hudds away).
It's not great to acknowledge that your team is mediocre but unfortunately it's a realistic view. We have some way to go before we are going to be competitive but getting rid of the coach is not the way to do it.

| Glen set out a couple of years ago to learn his trade as a Coach, first with Wakey's U20s while he played there.
He could have stretched his playing career a few years longer but went to coach Dewsbury instead.
He is a man of personal drive and ambition and has excellent man-managements skills.
When he feels that he has become accomplished enough as a coach he will step back into Super League in a role of his choosing.
It may be that Assistant Coach at the Bulls might entice him to further his career if it was offered

Good post, well reasoned and rational conclusion.

| After the tumoil last year, I think we have done about as well as could be reasonably expected this season.
Give FC chance to assemble his own - hopefully larger squad - have a full pre-season - then we can get a better view of what he can deliver. But he would be helped by a larger coaching team.
We all want the players to go out each week and give 100% - and I would assume the players would prefer less fikle supporters
