| 1. We were NOT EXPECTED to dip deep? We did it because we love OUR club.
2. Other clubs DIDN'T HAVE TO help out. I don't believe Salford did either (I could be wrong though).
3. If I had money I would happily donate however I learnt from our club's mistakes and I would want to know where the money is actually going.
4. The reason why we had such a massive response was because of our amazing fans. 10,000 people turn up and around 6,000-7,000 helped out in one way or another. Salford don't have those numbers. In all respect to Salford but do not expect a huge support campaign like that shown at the Bulls. Only Salford's fans will put massive effort into it with added contributions from fans of other clubs (like other clubs did with Bradford). If I had the money to I would.

Suspect if Salford do ask for help, bulls fans will be near the front of the queue given the trouble we've been through, but that's not what some people want hear is it.

| I'll dig deep, like I did for the likes of Halifax and Keighley in the past. Not that we got much thanks for it...

I remember doing the same for both the Club's you mentioned Bullseye and nope not much in the way of thank you but a lot of joy recently from at least one of those Clubs who were getting ready to take our place in SL. Can't say we could contribute much financially as to be honest we ploughed everything we could into the Bulls but a little from many could go a long way.
Salford fans just need to bear in mind that Bulls fans have dug not just deep but excavated deep only recently really and many of us are still recovering especially those that have just bought season tickets to support the Bulls though the winter. Wishing you all the very best though and hope you get through this.

| Along with many others I too gave to Halifax when they were in need and I would do the same for Salford/any other club if it helped either save the club or buy the time they need to save the club. I am not of the opinion that the money I paid in to the Bulls was wasted because
1) My £200+ contribution meant I had only ended up paying a fair season ticket price for the 2 cut price seasons
2) It bought time for OK to happen. (May have happened sooner if we didn't put the money in but we will never know conclusively one way or the other)
3) If the club had died at that time and I had not put something in the pot I could not have had that on my concience.
4) Being a supporter of the Bulls and Rugby League in general should include the obligation to support when and if you are able.
I know £200 or so was not a huge amount and many gave much larger amounts but every penny helps

| I don't want to see any club go to the wall.
However, when it was our turn, the vitriolic outpouring of scorn, bile and malicious joy at our predicament we received was unbelievable in its enormity.
And Wakefield, even they got a turn with the hitting stick when they came up short a few years back.
But Salford? It seems to be barely registering with the RL community at large. Now, maybe it's the long windedness of Bradford's saga has cooled people on discussing this sort of thing. Or perhaps it's because it seems that it might just be a dispute with a sponsor that's been escalated beyond a sensible point. However, there's a definite apathy towards the Reds situation and THAT more than anything else is the most worrying thing.

Well, Hood was fairly specific about needing £1m for the end of the month (was it April?) which we never actually quite got (despite the efforts) so he did admit the problem, the Salford statement seems to be pretty clearly talking it down.
If there is a real problem, it's to be hoped they at least confront it, but they're certainly not doing it as yet, and let's be honest, if they don't regard the situation as life threatening, why would anybody else?
