Not that Hicks would have done anything he was garbage today and I was glad to see him boo'ed off.

Platt is looking very good at the mo. Solid and reliable. Happy for him, taken a lot of stick in his time with us.

He's really turned the crowd around as well.

played at fullback maybe but i think he took more stick than was deserved. nobody played particularly well under macca...he was a bad coach and got nothing (most of the time) out of the players.

Yes, it was Fozzard on Kearney. It was so late that it was the reason it got missed by the officials (they were watching where the ball had gone after the kick, as were quite a few fans).

No doubt the disciplinary panel will review it then.

The whole Platt thing grew not out of his general play, but because he was unfortunate enough to make a handful of of "You've Been Framed" quality howlers, and these defined him in the eyes of many.

I would hope so as it was missed on the field. But since Kearney wasn't hurt and everyone just played on, I can't see it being a big issue. It wasn't really an issue at the time I don't think, but had it been seen, it could easily have been a penalty and yellow card.

Thankfully Hicks made up for it (and a few questionable offside non-calls) by letting us off with two massively blatant knock-ons (one of which Ainscough himself even stopped and gave himself up, before realising the ref hadn't give it and carrying on).

Thought Hicks was generally pretty naff yesterday, but dodgy calls went both ways and evened out I reckon.
