Ultimately it's very difficult to win games without your leader/playmaker on the pitch as evidenced by Saints last night and Leeds at the beginning of the year. Any team that has Paul Sykes leading them around the pitch will struggle no matter who the manager is.

The result of that game clearly hinged on three totally ridiculous substitutions that were not needed. The team at that point were on fire with the crowd behind them. You just know we were fooked when Worrincy came on for Whitehead!

Yet last week he was quite happy to leave Addy on the bench! This week, desperate to get Worrincy back on just because he is sat on the bench. Wonder if he just doesn't like his company? Here's a thought, leave him out of the squad all together then it's a decision he no longer has to make!

Macca's take on the game;

Steve McNamara was pleased with the level of his side's second-half performance and was adamant it merited more.

"I thought our second-half performance probably deserved enough for us to go and win the game," he said.

"I felt we were going to go on and do that; we had the momentum there.

"It was special, freakish, whatever you want to call it, but Jordan Tansey can do that and it has cost us.

"But I think we played pretty well in the second half and showed the way to go for us.

"We need to continue that for 80 minutes next week."
